What a delightful spot to rest in the middle of a road trip. The food is fresh and delicious. The people are friendly and the desserts sounded great but we were too full. Excellent burgers and we recommend the goulash!

Love the hash browns. Wife and daughter had issues finishing their pancakes and eggs with bacon. Serving sizes are great. Will be going back soon.

Bailey, please stop harassing my mom next door. Your unwanted posts on your public Facebook page are a nuisance and is causing my mother and step dad distress. As you know we just fatally lost my sister Rachael McCoy to a car accident in 2021 on 158th Rd , and my mom’s shop next door to your business is her outlet. You have robbed her of this and on top of it continue to harass her and her family. She built a privacy fence which if I were you I would be grateful, for it conceals the “trash” that you trespass onto her property and take pictures of. And freedom of speech is a thing so I am entitled to post this, just like you are on your public Facebook pages. As an owner of a successful business representing Mayetta KS where I grew up, it is very disheartening and appalling to see your continued behavior. I haven’t eaten 1886 food since last Summer when we were all hanging out, washing your dishes for free when you were short of staff, and babysitting your kids. I hope your food is better than your behavior. Good luck with your business. - Rebecca.Update: What could you possibly take me to court for? I anticipated you would reply to this review with intimidation and bullying. It was ruled by the zoning commission and also ruled on at the City of Mayetta- it’s not your property, and in fact you have bricks falling from your firewall, which is the safety hazard to your guests using your back entrance. Also, aren’t you aware that all bad reviews are considered defamation. Any bad review you receive has the potential to impact your business. You have a business, people will post both good and bad reviews.

I really loved this place! They have that great small-town diner appeal and a terrific menu that offers some surprising twists on classic favorites. I highly recommend the chicken nachos, and from our groups experience, you can't go wrong with any of their burgers. The owners are really lovely people who operate the place themselves, which I love. They're located on Main St in Mayetta, KS, so if you're traveling up 75, make sure to pop over and check them out, as they're just off the highway.

Go here for our weekend breakfast. Sometimes lunch. It is as they advertise, always fresh and delicious. Their hashbrowns, chips etc always homemade. Very welcoming staff and owners. Worth the trip if you have to travel a little ways!

Waitress was good but the food was over cooked.toast was dark, sausage and bacon very overcooked and they were also having trouble with the payment machine so it took quite some time to get checked out.

We found 1886 as a lunch option on our way to a quick golf weekend playing Firekeeper. Reminded us of a small town diner. Our group had BLT’s, phillys and a burger. Everything was delicious and service was great! Part of our group went back Saturday morning for breakfast. The breakfast burrito, scramble and “eggs in a basket”, were yummy. If you can get the homemade chips or hashbrowns, you’ll be glad you did!

We were visiting from Colorado and wanted a breakfast place close to our hotel at Prarie Band, after searching on Google maps this quaint family owned restaurant popped up. I knew it was going to be good when they asked how I wanted my bacon cooked. This is truly a farm to table made from scratch yummy goodness restaurant. Hash browns were home made not frozen, dark yoked fresh eggs! I think the only think that was not farm fresh was the ketchup! Lol 5 out of 5 stars . We will definitely stop by each time we come out to Kansas.
