Cottonwood Point Campground

Cottonwood Point Campground offers a pleasant camping experience with many nice features. It has power hookups for 30 and 50 amp service, and the posts are lit, making it easy to set up after dark. Most sites have water views, though the water level of the nearby lake was a few feet lower than usual during the visit. The campground is quiet, especially during weekdays, and is suitable for RVs with electric and water hook-ups, although some sites only have electric. The campground features a large playground with lots of sand and a climbing feature, perfect for kids. Covered picnic tables with grills and separate fire rings are available at many sites, adding convenience for outdoor meals. Restrooms are clean, but showers were sometimes cold, and some facilities, like bathrooms, were locked during the off-season. The area had some weeds and a bit of junk in the yard, which made it look a little sketchy. Despite a few minor issues, visitors enjoyed the peaceful setting, especially those celebrating special occasions, and appreciated the lake access and quiet environment.
