(Photos including quote from SSR and quote from new shop at bottom) Brought my subie in and they held it for 3 months… $6,000+ later I just picked my car up from them. $1500 for transmission, $4400 for parts/labor after going to ARP studs and solid mounts, and $400 to tune it. Car sounds and drives worse than it did before it went in. Leaking oil when the entire reason I brought it there was a transmission and a re-seal. They found new issues and “fixed” them. My stereo and 12v plugs magically no longer work, and my car is waiting to be towed. After all is said and done phonecalls are ignored and I’ve been blocked on social media. Special thanks to SSR for making me spend a whole lot more money getting it towed to a new shop. If y’all read other reviews all they do is call you a liar, if you want a running vehicle DO NOT TAKE IT HERE.
5/20/2024: UPDATE, after having another shop look over his work. He admitted to not having installed a new clutch, flywheel, no new tune, no arp studs, no solid mounts, etc. He blamed me for “rushing them” even though they had the car for 3 months. He blamed his assistant for the leaking after reseal, and refused and sort of refund. Now I have to spend another 4k to fix what they damaged, and more for the process to fix this situation.
06/14/2024: Finally got the car back after more money and it’s still not complete, just added two more pics. One of the last quote, and one of the incorrect clutch he grinded down to fit into my car along with the bent and cracked welded manifold.

READ RECENT REVIEWS! This place is a scam and shouldn’t even be called a business. Never ever ever ever ever bring your car here.

Keep your cars AWAY from SSR! They will take a running driving Subaru boxer engine, tear it apart, leave it for months, charge you thousands for parts and labor, and present you a knocking, untuned, seemingly UNTIMED, leaking boxer engine with a new transmission. And, oddly enough, loss of power for the radio and accessories... gonna cost twice as much to repair the damage from this shops "experienced technicians". If you want to have a car you can drive after you get it back, Take it somewhere else.

do not bring your car to this place. They will take months and cost you thousands and then tell you to deal with it after they break your car.

Never visit this place! Very rude and unprofessional. The guy there treats you as if he is doing some mercy to you. First I went there to diagnose check engine and for AC repair. The old guy inspected the car superficially for 10-15 minutes but couldn’t find anything. Then he started saying that he makes money through racing cars and not by repairing such street cars and told me to come next week at the same time. I went there in time given by him but he told that he was not yet done with two cars that he was supposed to complete weeks ago. He also did not have the computer and suggested me to come 2 or 3 days later. I contacted him after 2 days to let him know that I was planning to go there again that day but he never replied. Very disappointing!Reply to the question: I did appear in time there around 9 am. What do you mean by 3 hours late? I still have that text sent to that person, it is in my cell phone! I also had my seat belt replaced there 2 years ago. Now, another auto repair center in the town has figured out that there is short circuit related to seat belt in my car. Why did SSR tell me nothing about that 2 years ago??
