I went there yesterday (1/15/2024 ) , I had forgotten my gate code so I texted the number as per instructions on the gate, I still have not received a reply. So what good is that? My wife looked up the initial lease agreement and gave me the code. I have a climate controlled unit. I try the door for which I had the code and it doesn't work. I call my wife again and ask her for door code again and I have the right code. So I call customer service and report a problem. I actually get a live human. He says the door has been reported as non functional and apparently has been for awhile. I drive around to the side door and get in. Once inside it's freezing cold in there. I'm pissed as I pay over $250.00 a month for a climate controlled unit and so does all the other people there. This is ridiculous. I find the thermostat and it's still set to cooling. The temperature is at 37 degrees inside and they have it set at 78 degrees for air conditioning. I'm really angry over this as they are making a lot of money off of everyone there for a climate controlled unit and their end of the bargain isn't being upheld. We pay extra to have our belongings protected from harsh weather and they don't maintain this facility apparently very well at all. The number for gate assistance is absolutely worthless. They evidently don't maintain the doors and must never adjust the HVAC to the seasons as this is January and it's extremely cold and they still have the thermostat set to air conditioning? Might as well be paying half price for a unit without climate control because that's what we have. We pay extra for protection of belongings. You fail to maintain even the basics here. Correct this situation!!!Here it is 5 days later and not one thing has changed. His word is not genuine. In most people's opinion promptly would be within 24 hrs. Nothing has changed. The gate code retrieval number doesn't work as I tried it again today. The snow hasn't been plowed there are drifts in front of the doors and it hasn't snowed in over a week. The personell door still isn't operational. Most importantly the heat hasn't been turned on. It's so cold inside my lock is frozen and I can't even turn the key. What does it take for you to respect your customers enough to honor your end of the lease agreement? We all pay for climate controlled units in this building and we don't receive it. We pay more than double the price of an unheated unit. What are you going to do for us? What does promptly mean to you? Would you rent a unit from someone that operates at such a low levwlmof customer service? Good grief a two wheel drive vehicle will get stuck in there. And who knows what shape our belongs are in after being exposed to frigid below freezing temperatures at night? I have attached additional pictures showing that that you've done nothing at all that you said you would correct. Well I have the pictures it will not let me add them at this time.

No staff available. Starts at a low rate and then they increase every few months. They do not wait a year for increases. I started at 90$. Went to 140$ in 18 months. They charge you for insurance. You cannot decline the insurance. The insurance company is not affiliated with red dot so good luck filing a claim. Overseas customer service that has no understanding of the business. There is no way to contact the actual staff or red dot storage. They will tell you to call the 1-800 number and be connected to someone in Jamaica or India. You can buy a shed from a local company and have it delivered to your house and pay less monthly.

I’m a father of a soldier stationed at Ft Riley. Our soldier has a storage unit at Red Dot and has put part of us belongs in storage in preparation for deployment. The day before being deployed the gate will not open. they tell him they can’t / won’t get someone to come and open it for him and other soldiers for at least two days. In two days he’ll be over seas. When he called he was basically told; to bad so sad. This is not place a soldier should use. Red Dot should be ashamed of the way they treat their renters.

Great communication. Joel C. was a pleasure to talk to. He was friendly and helpful, and hungry. LOL.

My gate code has been consistently denied. The customer service phone number and the number for help with gate code issues has been unresponsive. I’m still not able to get into my storage unit days after paying for it. I don’t typically leave reviews, but given that the only response I’ve received is an automated text asking for one, here’s hoping my issue can be noticed and resolved.

Called and they actually had a storage shed available. Was easy to confirm and got code right away. Tried to use storage shed and the code would not let me in. Called was informed not activated yet after 5 days seems like a long time to activate a code to me but hopefully will work when we call for a temporary code

This was not a positive experience. Our gate code wouldn’t work and we had to wait a long time for someone to help us on the phone. Then our storage unit was jammed shut and I had to force it open.I am displeased.

We rented a climate controlled unit at RD 153 Manhattan KS, Building A that is currently 85-95. This location is not manned, so calling customer service is the only solution. The thermostat in the building is on HEAT 62, so at least things shouldn't freeze come winter. The climate controlled units communicate with outside facing units through a 18-24 inch gap at the roof of units. So I'm not sure how they can be considered climate controlled.Initial start up failed to give us the code for the climate controlled access door. Took 24-48 hours of trying to contact someone to help.RD 153 in Manhattan KS needs to have at least a local number that connects with a LOCAL maintenance and/or management person if it will never be manned

Had a great experience using this facility to store my stuff while deployed. The startup was easy with the automated machine at the office. After you sign up, be sure to call to setup auto pay, ask about the military discount, and provide your proof of insurance. Unit showed no sign of moisture when I came back after 9 months. I threw mouse bait out when I moved in. I had one dead mouse in the unit and very minimal mouse droppings. Closing the account was very easy with me just emailing the customer service with my move out date.

Excellent. Their website works well, everything is automated including getting you your gate code. Customer service is fantastic, codes take 24hr to register in the system, I called the help line around 7PM and got a person, they promptly gave me a temporary code. This is far beyond what I’d expected.

I love the fact that they’re open later than 5 PM. The lady was a little bit hard to understand due to noise, volume and accent.

I was given a gate code but not a code to get me the door to my climate controlled unit. I rented a uhaul and had to pay for 2 extra days because this was over Christmas. When I called the day after Christmas the code I was given did not work.
