I had an amazing experience here. I took my dog in because he wasn’t eating and they did everything possible to figure out what was wrong with him! They also recommended I try wet food and then incorporate it in with his dry kibble to get him back into the habit of eating! This worked extremely well!!! I’ve also taken him to be groomed and I don’t think I’ve ever seen my dog come out of a groomer looking better than he did when I picked him up! The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! Overall it was an excellent experience! Will definitely be brining my baby back there!

The Vet tech and Dr Murray were great, but when you get to the reception, they aren't very friendly! One of the girls looked like she hated everything and was completely miserable! I was upset and crying because my baby is sick and they showed no sense of sympathy! I couldn't do that!I also don't understand why they don't allow payment arrangements. My baby is sick and needs medication, however, because I couldn't pay the full amount, but did pay the down payment, I wasn't allowed to take the medication. I just feel like payments should be able to be made, with proper arrangements, especially when the pet is so sick!

My Guinea pig had an abscess that had grown the size of a tootsie pop candy. It must have been smaller and since she is a long haired breed of Guinea pig I had no idea about it until it grew over night to that size. Thankfully I was able to get her in at little apple vet the same day and she was in good hands. My Guinea pig was handled with care and they explained and communicated with me every step of the way, I was able to ask questions and make sure I could make the best decision for my girl. She had her abscess drained surgically under anesthesia and was just find waking up. She was sent home with a round of antibiotics and care instructions to make sure she would be comfortable for recovery.I’m very thankful I was able to get her help so quickly and work with an experienced veterinarian and technician. It also was so awesome that this hospital takes care credit, and the front desk was very helpful and reassuring. Very greatful.

In a nutshell: Dr. Lindquist saved my kitty, and the office staff is excellent. Highly recommend them. My 10-year old kitty was an undiagnosed diabetic and probably went into keto acidosis at which point she almost died. I called them crying to ask if they could see her and try to figure out what was wrong, which they did. Lots of tests and diagnoses later, it was touch and go for about two weeks. But she pulled through! Dr. Lindquist and the techs made a point of checking in with me when we brought her home, out of genuine concern which I wasn't expecting. She called my girl, "a miracle kitty," but the real miracle was her and the LAV staff. They helped me get her condition under control and we're now able to manage it with diet and medication. We recently moved and utilized their boarding facilities during the process and the prices were so reasonable I was shocked. We miss them, but we're so grateful that they were able to help us.

Back in 2019, I took in a senior kitty from a lady who moved into a nursing home. Sugar was about 14 at the time. I had no clue where to take her for a vet but I had heard wonderful things about LAVH. For almost four years up until Sugar was almost 18 I would routinely take her to them for everything. The staff here were wonderful, compassionate, and understanding with every concern I had with my baby girl. Sugar had a respiratory illness and kidney disease and the staff were always very informative when explaining to me about my girls health. They were always helpful with making sure my baby girl was comfortable. From getting proper medication and explaining the progression of her kidney disease, the staff were always sweet to Sugar. I can not thank Dr. Lindquist, Dr. Kitterman, and the staff for helping me make the last few years of Sugar’s life great for her and I. They also helped me when it was time to put my baby girl down. Dr. Lindquist explained how much Sugar’s kidney disease progressed and explained that it was my little one’s time and Dr. Kitterman was wonderful in explaining the process of what he was doing during the euthanasia. I strongly recommend this office to take care of your fur babies. I definitely will be taking any future animals I have here.

I have a cat that I rehomed and took her back due to her health severely declining in a very bad home. When I brought her in, I was helped and we are on track to get her back to what she once was. To see the level of care they gave Callie meant the world. Barb took time out of her day to do a free dematting. Her coat was so bad, and I feel like my cat is in great care with them as we monitor her for the next few weeks. I'm so grateful for the compassion and help and getting her in immediately. I'm really optimistic that this vet office is going to help her gain a few years because without their help, I don't think she would of lived much longer.

We board our corgi at LAV often and she always comes home very happy. They are also great with emergencies! Our puppy got hurt on a Saturday afternoon so we called in and rushed over to Little Apple Vet. She was seen by Doctor Elizabeth within 5 minutes. We received wonderful service and she was very loving and thorough. We highly recommend boarding, grooming and general care here!

I took my cat Einstein (6-7 years old) here for years until he got worryingly sick. He lost interest in food and lost weight. Since he was overweight, whichever veternarion Einstein had told me that was a good thing that he lost weight and disregarded that he was anorexic because of this. I also think that they werent taking me seriously because Einstein is so young. The vet insistently told me to not worry and he'll be okay and all he did was administer his vaccines. I ended up trying to believe him and took him home. About 3 weeks later with worsening behavioral changes I went to a different vet to find out he has had cancer all along. My cat was in pain and Little Apple ignored it.Edit:The veternarion also did not offer me any type of at home care routine brochure or advice or offer to do any diagnostic test, even though through our entire appointment I kept expressing my concerns and asking his thoughts.

The staff at LAVC was very compassionate and understanding when my daughter lost her baby, Toulouse, to a genetic heart condition. She had lived here and brought him in only a couple of times early on before she moved to Kansas City a few years ago. She obviously sought out a veterinarian there locally, but after Toulouse’s passing, decided to take care of his remains here in her hometown of MHK. We called Little Apple Vet Clinic for some assistance and they could not have been more kind, helpful, or accommodating. it was especially nice since her cat had not even been a patient at this clinic for over 3 1/2 years! My daughter and I are both very grateful for this team of caring souls! As far as their competency as veterinarians, my younger daughter brings her dog with severe separation anxiety to LAVC, and they have been fantastic with her pet as well! They are especially understanding of how to approach Monty,, as he gets very nervous when strangers touch his ears, paws, etc. They are sensitive to this issue yet still very thorough in their examinations. Again, very happy with this group!

They got my puppy kiwi’s date of birth wrong.. & ignored the first vaccines received by the breeders. Also gave me dewormer to give kiwi the next day; which was overdosing my puppy cause on the breeder records it stated kiwi being dewormer & vaccinated just under 2 weeks prior..(And gave her bordetella vaccine- kiwis a 2.4lbs Pomeranian puppy) just saying it’s a lot of medicine & vaccine for a puppy who got a bunch of vaccines & medicine under two weeks prior (which again was in the shot record I gave the veterinarian).Along with her date of birth. They filled out my paper work all wrong- saying it was her first parvo vaccine when it was her second…She was 8 weeks when she was 12 weeks old..Would be nice for the shot records from the vet to be you know accurate considering that’s what I am paying for exam services, correct shots, them being the experts?Plus when I move or go to groomers I need accurate vaccine info. When I called they said sorry it was a typo but during the exam we discussing how old my puppy was & what shots she received etc.plus they advertise royal Canin dog food which I found out, one ingredient in it is MSG (Hydrolyzed Yeast) if your info fast food for your puppy okayOn a positive- They gave kiwi peanut butter when giving the vaccine, on her back bottom kiwi didn’t cry which was nice.Just wish they took the time to correctly input the correct info

Took a dog and a cat. They separate the patients from each of the other patients to provide a comfortable atmosphere. The dog voluntarily got into the car to go which is odd, but she didn't want to leave the vet. Very friendly and caring people.
