We rented a U-Haul in another town to be dropped off at this location. The starting location gave us a truck without a full tank of gas and assured us that as long as we filled the tank up to the level which we received it we would not be charged. The attendant that inspected the vehicle marked the level incorrectly in the system and we ended up with a significant fuel charge. I’m a little disappointed that he couldn’t attempt to correct his mistake when I asked about it.

It's move-in weekend in a college town. It's hot, everyone is exhausted, and this is one of the very few UHaul outlets in Manhattan. That did not stop the staff at Midwest Ace Hardware from being absolutely professional, helpful, and understanding. They're amazing!!

A women working there made us cry she was so rude. We came to pick up a Uhaul, and had some complications, but we were trying to be patient and kind. She yelled at us, and belittled us. Our card was declined as they charged double what it said online, and she said "looks like you didn't save enough for this" loud enough everyone looked at us. This was just one example of being blatantly rude. Overall the worst experience I have had with customer service ever.

If I could give them zero stars I would, website said they had the item I needed in stock, drove 30 plus minutes to be told otherwise. Said they haven’t had the item since 2016, maybe update your inventory, that’s 8 years ago:

Average Ace location, maybe slightly better than average. Took a while to get help at the u-haul desk. The overall building layout is a little weird, took me a minute to find the front entrance. Overall a reliable stop for home and hardware needs.

Came in to get a key cut for a 1980s Jeep and the manager told me it would cost $79 because it was a microchipped key. She obviously just didn’t want to do it. I’ve been going to ace hardware since I’ve been seven years old and this is by far the worst one.

Very rude staff I came in looking for advice on bolt removal and extractor and one of the employees was rude and said we aren't a free store and I told him I knew that he followed up saying people can't use tools and return I told him I didn't plan on would not recommend next time do better and work on your attitude sir
