When you are broke down in Leoti Kansas. It may be the only place to stay yet, Bruce was great to deal with, he set me up on the Eastside of the hotel so the sun wasn't beating down on me as I worked on my Jeep.Unfortunately, the repair was beyond my capabilities. So I had a buddy bring his truck and trailer to get me. Bruce was kind enough to let me stay until well past check out time for a faction of the cost of a full day's rental price.

After 20hrs on the road and no place to stop this was just the place we needed. The staff was friendly for being woken up at 2am and very helpful in getting us a room and out of the cold. The bed were comfy, the shower had great pressure and stayed hot, all the amenities worked better than most larger chains of hotels.10/10 will make a point to stop here on our travels again

This motel is old, (they still use keys with orange key fobs) and there’s a little Kansas dust, but otherwise clean and the host is friendly and helpful. It was recommended to us to drive the extra 25 miles down the road to Scott but I checked the reviews and we decided to stay there. I’m glad we chose to stay there in Leoti at the Hi Plains. We were just a few blocks from family. No room service, but the coffee in the lobby is good.

This review is many years late, but I figured I'd leave one here. I stayed here back in the summer of 2013 with my work crew when we were on a job in the next town over (Tribune) redoing a stretch of road from in town to the Colorado border. I was here for at least a week and my stay was really good. The rooms were well kept and nice and the breakfast they made every morning was unforgettable. It was hands down the best breakfast I've ever had at any hotel. They made a full fresh homemade breakfast that was served from an all you can eat bar. The staff was really professional and polite. After all of these years later, I've never forgotten my experience here and I've been in many hotels since. I will say, I've not found a better breakfast served as the ones served here. Props to the owner and his wife for making excellent food every morning to take good care of their guests. I'm only leaving this review because I felt I should. Just wish I would've done this back when I stayed here. If I'm ever in that area again for whatever reason, I'll be sure to stay there again. 100% recommend this place to anyone needing a place to stay.

Room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Could use functioning Wi-Fi, especially for the price, but not a deal breaker by any means. Would recommend staying here if you find yourself in town for the night.

Hit to spot for us. Legacy motel. Clean. A good mattress. Furnishing a bit hodge-podgy, but just fine. Very friendly. Lots of support bars in our tub/showers. Fridge/microwave.

I spoke with the manager two days before arriving and was told they would accept me and my dog. But when I arrived I was greeted by one of the strangest people I've ever encountered. At first he told me he had a room available, then pretended to look at his book and said, 'Actually, we don't have anything.' There were lots of rooms and only three cars outside so this was clearly a lie. There isn't another town for a ways, and my plans were built around what he'd told me a couple days prior. It was one of the strangest and worst interactions I've had with hotel. Why not just say you don't accept dogs? No biggie if that's the case.

Could really use some cleaning and some maintenance. The gap in the door allows cold air to come streaming through, see the picture. The cold air and the contrast of the heater makes it so you cannot set a comfortable temperature. Behind the door as you enter the room the hinge pins are coming out and there is dirt on the walls from the oil.The toilet needs cleaning, looks like it hasn’t been done for quite a while. The lampshade is got water stains and creases in it. Behind the door in the bathroom toward the ceiling you can see water stains and mold. Nice people run it but evidently they do not care since they are the only accommodations in town. The reason I’m staying here, it’s the only place in town.
