The front slide door wasn't working, the lady in the front desk was rude and mean, she did a mistake running our card something went wrong but our bank took the money but they couldn't see it in their balance, She said that we need run our card again and if they have double pay they will return it in a couple days, we said not our bank account already showed the transaction was made, we told them we can sign up any documents because it wasn't our fault, the manager and this mean lady were very inflexible and unprofessional. We called to the bank to cancel the transaction and we left. Very bad experience

A great price for the quality! The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and no bad smells or foul odors. The whole hotel felt very fresh and clean and the staff was helpful and friendly ?.Breakfast could have been better in that there was no butter for waffles and some of the cereal was stale and the fruit didn't seem very fresh, BUT the person at the main desk would wipe down the table after each customer was done and had left. The hotel maintenance was impeccable. No paint scratches or chipped and even the metal thresholds were clean!

Always a great place to stay. The hotel staff I'd amazing! Nice pool.Rooms: The rooms are comfortable and always clean.Food & drinks: Nice breakfast with protein, dairy options along with quick grab and go items.Noteworthy details: Best thing about this hotel is the staff. We have been staying here for years, and it's still the same desk staff. I appreciate that so much when they are such amazing people.

Nice place. I think they need to update some of the rooms. Room we stayed in smelled a little funny, sheets/towels had some old stains, and curtains had some tears in them.

Found pubic hair in the shower with more regular hair. A used towel was on the nightstand. I didn't feel like the room was actually cleaned.

Have had about 8 appointments in Kansas City over the past year and a half. We've stayed here every time and have never been disappointed. Staff have always been friendly and the rooms are always clean. Location is just where we've needed to be. Sorry to see all the negative reviews but we've never had issues here.

We stayed at this hotel last night and are in the process of packing up. It reeks of gas in here and management is more interested in explaining why it is none of our business rather than fixing it. They are using a gas appliance likely a dryer and have the door to the room open to let out the fumes increasing the volume of exposure for everyone present. We had a hot tub in our room but it was dirty (gross!) and our keys quit working several times. A bit concerning since we got a room for our teenager across the hall and wanted him to be able to get in as needed and his key continually didn't work when he tried to come in to get items from our cooler.

If i could give a 0 rating I would. This was the worst hotel we have been to in a long time. The customer service was horrible. They dont know or understand customer service. The room came with two towels and we had two kids and called to ask for more towels and their response was well how many people are in your room? Before getting new towels they made us come down to the lobby to switch out towels for new ones. My nephew made a bit of a mess with his food at breakfast which I would have cleaned up but instead the hotel worker comes over and gives a hard time and starts cleaning up the floor and gets butt hurt over the child's mess. The hall where the room was stunk with some odor. The swimming pool had a high level of chlorine which made our eyes itch and get swollen. The overall experience was not good at all. I would highly recommend that you go else where to stay unless you want an experience that is not even close to good.

They were very controlling. You had to be completely dry to leave the pool area. Pool towels had to be checked out at the front desk and turned back in when leaving the pool. Only one towel per guest for pool. Only guests that had a room were allowed in the pool area. You were not allowed to leave the breakfast area with food and there was a very limited variety of food. Also the door keys didn't always work. After trying 7 times my husband had to come down and let me in. It took at least 3 times every time. We could hear the people above and below us like they were in our room. I was startled awake numerous times by loud bangs above us.I have never wrote a bad review on a hotel I was just very disappointed in this place. ?

The room smelled like dirty feet. The refrigerator did not work. The check-in guy Alex was very rude all the other employees were amazing. The Wi-Fi works pretty good I was able to play some video games on my downtime. I watched them put the breakfast eggs and sausage into the warmer with their bare hands no gloves no tongs. The pool is a little warm hot tub is amazing have not checked out the exercise room. The beds are comfortable the air and heat work good. Overall room is clean just stinks. All in all if you're on a budget it's a good place to stay if you're looking for a nice place to stay I would avoid here.

NEVER. EVER. AGAIN. Avoid this place at all costs, there are plenty of decent hotels on the same street. This hotel should be closed and possibly condemned. See the photos for elaboration. When we arrived at about 1 p.m., I wondered if we were in the wrong place as the hotel and the parking lot looked deserted--there were no cars in the parking lot. My husband went in to ask if we could check in early. The young man at the front desk informed him that we could but it would cost $7 per hour. So much for goodwill and customer service. The only good thing I can say about our stay is that we did not SEE any bed bugs, but I woke up with multiple itchy, red bumps on my legs so something happened. We reserved a suite, we got a room with a half-wall between a bed and a couch that was so dirty that I would not sit on it. The drawers had hair and spills in them, one lamp did not have a lightbulb, the furniture was crumbling and both of the fire extinguishers (one on the first floor and one on the second) had broken glass on their doors. A child (or an adult) could be cut if they touched this. There were 2 tiny bath towels in our room. One had brown stains on it and the other had large areas that were thinner than gauze--perhaps it was used to clean up bleach at some point? Whatever the cause neither towel should have been offered to guests. There were dirt smears on the wall, mold and peeling paint around the windows, and a stench in the room that made me check to see if someone left food to rot under the bed. The sheets felt like a polyester mattress cover. The pool and surrounding pool area were abhorrent. Black mold covers the largest vent over the hot tub. The water was so heavily chlorinated that my eye started burning when we walked in the pool room. A sign on the door states that you can get a towel for use in the pool from the front desk, but you are limited to one towel per person and you must dry off in the pool area and return it to the front desk and not take it back to your room. Really? That is ridiculous. We returned the towels and asked for additional towels for our room. There is one ice maker, on the first floor, and the area around it reeks of mold. The breakfast, sigh. If the management can not keep the building clean, or avoid giving out stained towels, I am not going to trust them to hold food at safe temperatures. My husband is a braver soul than I am. He had what appeared to be an egg hockey puck and a sausage patty that had seen the inside of a microwave for far too long. They had a dispenser for orange and apple juice as well as fruit punch. The only one that was working was (surprise) the fruit punch (kool-aid). I have never had an experience like this at a Quality/Choice hotel, I should have checked reviews, but I didn't, shame on me.

This hotel is dangerous and a health safety hazard. Both rooms I was allocated has pungent smell of drug use. Holes in the wall. The fire detector is covered with a plastic bag. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The beds have disgusting stains on them and reception lied that the bedsheets were freshly changed. Just entering into the hotel reception or the hallways will talk a bunch about the hotel. I vacated the hotel right way and moved to a different hotel. I recommend visiting the hotel before you reserve a room at this hotel. The reception lady was nice but she only had so much control on what is going on at the hotel.

I am an elite member with choice hotels and I had the most unpleasant experience with the front desk staff at this hotel. The Choice Hotels app took my reservation with a "Pay At The Hotel" designation as payment method. A few hours later I get an email canceling my reservation so I call customer service and they tell me the front desk at the hotel canceled. I call the hotel and they tell me they tried to bill the card on my profile and it didn't go through so they canceled my reservation. I ask that given I am an elite member of their loyalty program wouldn't a call been more appropriate. I should add I also have enough points to stay for free, and the real question is why are you billing my card on file within a couple of hours after I made the reservation without me present when the reservation says pay at the Hotel? The response was shocking. "Why would I do any of that when you did not give me an honest card?" Wow! What a terrible way to treat anyone, let alone an elite member. This next part is for Jay the General Manager: Jay your guests don't need to know your particular feelings on billing methods or that you get a lot of fraudulent reservations. All your team needed to was explain their was an issue with the card and ask if wanted to use another one. Simple solution to a simple issue that happens in modern life. I am on track to be a Platinum member by the end of next week and we have another 5 months left in the year, or maybe I go back to Hilton and Marriott? Jay the value of the sign outside your hotel is directly tied to the reservation system that Choice Hotels operates for you, and the goodwill created by the other operators in the Choice Hotels system. YOU Jay... YOU are hurtling the enterprise value of all the operators in your network. You should de-identify your hotel if you don't appreciate or value the equity and enterprise value everyone else built and entrusted to you.

So this place is starting to really feel run down. Elevator kept jamming. Floors around bed still had chunks of food from last visitor. Not many outlets if you have more than one phone to charge. Doesn't provide toiletries. BUT they were super nice and kept the towels fresh.Rooms: Rooms are functional but shoddy.Safety: Creepy weirdos kept knocking on our door at 11pm.
