Was looking for some Scottish attire and unfortunately landed upon this rural Kansas outfit. First, the attire is not at all as it appears online. The images could be viewed as misrepresentation of products as it is not what you will receive. Second, the website design is severely lacking for a modern e-commerce site. The order page glitches, removes/adds things to your cart; it's no wonder the items show up mismatched.

I would give J. Higgins a 0 review if it was possible. As other customers have stated, speak to John Higgins rather than Griffin, the person who answers the phone. This is not possible because Griffin always says "Mr. Higgins is not available".I bought my pipes some time ago and finally decided I should share my experience with others because I don't want another new player to go through the torture of attempting to play pipes that arrived with absolutely no setup done and with a bag that had two leaks. One of the leaks was because the drone had not been tied off correctly. The other leak was an actual tear in the bag. After months of struggling with the pipes, my instructor finally played them and realized they were unplayable. The bag was eventually replaced by J. Higgins but only after a third party intervened on my behalf. This happened during Covid so the lessons with my instructor were infrequent, and she didn't want to play the pipes because everyone was terrified of getting Covid. The only reason I bought them from J. Higgins was because, at the time, his prices were much lower than other sellers. I had no idea the customer service would be so atrocious. Save yourself a huge headache and buy from a retailer who actually cares about their customers.

I had zero clue what I was doing when ordering my (now) husband's wedding attire. The kilt world was new to me and I was confused! Easily one of the most stressful processes of the wedding planning for me. J Higgins and Griffin made a confusing and stressful process so much better!We had to make several exchanges due to us miscalculating the size and sent the kilt back for alterations. I was stressed, but I knew when I sent an email I'd get Griffin who would help me with the next step, answer any questions I had and would quickly have a replacement ready to ship to us.The. Best. Service.

There are few stores that offer such items for pipers and this place does not disappoint. I have purchased reeds, clothing, and maintenance items for my pipes. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are competitive and you can often find a good deal here. I highly recommend them.
