I was in need of a trim, and I wanted to take the plunge and get bangs! I left feeling like a 10!
I consistently get great hair cuts, and the ladies working there are friendly, patient, and seem to know exactly what I’m a cut.
AND the wait times to check-in are never horrendously long. A definite plus.

My experience was pretty good. Though my hairstylist didn't talk much besides asking about details on how I wanted to cut my hair which all I wanted was a small trim. Happy she asked about details.
My sister, she didn't have a good experience. Her hair stylist was sweet in the beginning but did not listen to what my sister wanted. And, to make things worse, the hairstylist said "I usually do men's hair". That did not help my sister feel that good experience. My sister said multiple times, I do not want bangs but long layers. But the hairstylist cut her hair too short and gave her bangs.
We went back to explain that my sister didn't have a good experience and wanted a refund because on the receipt it said, "you can get a refund if you aren't happy with your experience/hair" but they didn't. I asked why, and their response was that we would have to discuss with a manager who said they maybe would be back on Thursday.
So I'm not exactly pleased by this.

First time to visit this place. Not very pleased. Only good thing was a short wait. Stylist was Kim. I found her to be rude and unpleasant (maybe she was having a bad day), and she trimmed my brows way to short. Haircut seemed uneven as well. I don't plan to return. If I could try another stylist, I might go back and give them a second chance.

Jahmonee provided a fantastic haircutting experience for my daughter. She was kind, patient, and engaging. My daughter left with a huge smile on her face and loves her new haircut.

Staff was so rude that I got late 10 mins. She refused to take me with an hr left to close. This is so ridiculous when you came from far away to get the hair done with 1 hr left for closing still didn't cut my hair. I wouldn't not recommend this place rude staff.

ZERO stars, this place is absolute scum of the earth. Took my young son to get a hair cut here, he wanted to sit on his moms lap, the lady who was the "hair dresser" rolled her eyes at her co workers.
Once the apron was on and in place, I tried telling her how we would want it, and she brushed me off and proceeded to tell me that she is going to do something different. Then stated, "let me do my job".
My little man was a bit squirmy, she then told my wife, "dont grab him, that will make him more mad". I then stated, "she is his mom, how are you going to tell her what to do?"
She then stated to get out mid haircut and kicked us out.
A WORKER A GREATCLIPS KICKED OUT A FAMILY WITH A YOUNG CHILD..... Let that sink in.............
Unreal.

What an absolute nightmare of a haircut experience for my TWO YEAR OLD son who is terrified of getting his haircut already. We went to the Great Clips in Lenexa by Hen House. This exact location: 14904 W 87th Street Lenexa, KS 66215. We walked in and the woman stylist with black hair and was short in her profile, had said she was ready for us to do my son's hair. I do not remember her name for the life of me. But she works at that location. She worked at the time of the appointment around 11:45 / 11:50 AM CT and was working on my sons hair. I told the woman stylist that my son probably won't sit in the chair and she rudely rolled her eyes to the fellow coworker of hers. So great first impression right off the bat. Secondly, my husband is telling her what we want done on my two year old son and she rudely said "let me do my job." My husband was just trying to explain what he wanted done for him as my son is two and cannot speak for himself what kind of freaking haircut he wants. Thirdly, as we were finishing up, my son was getting squirmy, and I had to hold my son a bit tighter so that he would not harm himself and or harm the stylist with scissors in her hand. She told me, the mother, "Do not hold him like that, that is why he doesn't like it, the way you're holding him." My husband said "Hold on a minute, how are you going to tell the mother of her son how to hold their kid." The woman stylist got upset for some reason with my husband telling her that she should not tell the mother of a kid how to hold her son and then said "get out" and made us leave close to the end of the haircut. My son's haircut did not look finished and he had hair all over him. He is TWO and did not know at all what was going on or why we had to leave abruptly. HAVE BETTER MANNERS. TREAT PEOPLE WITH RESPECT. THERE IS A THING CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE. LEARN IT. Will never ever return to another Great Clips again. I hope this DOES NOT happen to another kid let alone HUMAN BEING AGAIN.

87th Henhouse pretty much blows. NEVER had a decent cut including today! Stylist only cared about lunch and I confused my lady asking for 3 on sides and back, blend in the top and just even it out. Literally she said she was confused. Go somewhere else

I have been going to this salon for almost 4 years now. Tammy is my regular stylist. She’s extremely friendly, talented and knowledgeable about her work. If she isn’t there, then Kim steps in and does a tremendous job for me. This particular location is run like a well-oiled machine and they’ll continue to have my business.
