The rooms have a stove and a full size refrigerator which is convenient when you're staying multiple days. Plus there is Walmart right up the street which you can buy some groceries and stock the fridge with to save money.

Basic Motel type accommodation. Next to a freeway, and you can hear it. The room was clean, but needed some maintenance.

I stayed in this hotel for several months. Didn’t have any problems until I get a call from the Lenexa police department in the middle of the night, asking me about the LEGAL firearm that I keep in my car. Of course they couldn’t do anything because I hadn’t done anything wrong. When I asked the hotel management about why the police are searching my vehicle, they said that they have a policy that allows the police to come onto the property and run people license plates and look through the windows into their vehicles in the middle of the night. I got the call at 12:23 pm. Not a smart policy in my opinion. I didn’t have a problem with the staff, the room was fine for the price, and it’s in a great location. I just think people should be aware of this policy. I did nothing. Know one called the cops. Nothing at all happened, by myself or anyone. The police just show up and see who they can arrest, and the hotel simply allows it! Be warned.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. How idiotic do you have to be to put someone in a room where you KNOW the bed frame has been broken. Where you know the floor where y'all put said bed frame doesn't hold up. And yet you want to put someone in that room. That's absolutely stupid. Their maintenance man is obviously on some type of drugs or something because he kept coming doing make shift repairs to the bed saying he was coming back with his own tools and never came. Had to hunt the man down or keep going to the front desk just to get him to remember to even come look at the bullshit in which he threw together. Their solution was give me a $14 discount but inconvenience me in more ways than one, re pack up all of my belongings and stay on the 3rd floor and move to a queen sized bed room. FOR 14 FUNKY ASS DOLLARS! The little fruit cake at the front desk always has a attitude and is rude asf. They Elevator is absolute trash. Doesn't close right when trying to get on. The room was dirty when we first checked in couldn't get a broom or anything to clean what their 10 point cleaning inspection housekeepers didn't do. Toilet you had to flush multiple times just to get the pee all the way out the toilet. Stove top light didn't work, Kitchen Sink water isn't hot. Highly disappointed cause I've stayed at multiple extended stays in my life and this one is the absolute worse and I've stayed at ones where the housekeepers steal from your room

SAVE YOUR MONEY!! When I tell you that I was unable to sleep out of fear of being attacked by the handful of roaches I actually saw and recorded. I called the front desk to complain about the roach infestation and they only offered to send a maintenance man. After showing proof of how disgusting and inhabitable my room was, management refused to give me a refund. What's crazy is that when I turned the lights on in the room, the family of roaches that lives there didn't even run. Apparently, I was the intruder. I feel like one yelled at me to turn the lights back off. NEVER AGAIN.. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

Came into town for daughters wedding. The employees were fantastic. Very attentive and responsive. Room was clean and well equipped. Other guests were friendly. I felt safe and secure. Location was great and price was reasonable.

Was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When I walked in the room I was hit with the smell of smoke and mold. The door was obviously broken down a few times and didn’t close all the way. When I sat in the bed I sank down halfway to the floor. I looked under the bed and noticed that the bed frame was broken on one side. The bathroom was okay but the fan seemed to be broken and made weird noises.I was able to switch rooms to one with a bed that was broken but the room still smell horrible and it made all my cloths smell like mildew. The “on-the-go” breakfast was a few cereal bars. It was a joke.Never book this hotel.

The gal at the front desk was pleasant. However, the room I reserved and had confirmation for was not available. I pressed for a handicap room and she looked for any cancelations. I appreciated the effort to remedy the situation. Her system had fatal flaws however, and the room we got was still occupied -complete with bags of trash, clothes strewn about, and a stench that can't be described. I returned to the lobby and explained what we found. She tried to find us a room with elevator access but the accommodations weren't wheelchair accessible so we asked for a refund and left to find something else.Rooms: Both rooms we saw had odors that were too powerful to overlook.

TL;DR: Spend the little extra for a better space somewhere else. The only things commendable are the bed and and the air conditioning. While the bedding is far from great it's still passable. For an Extended Stay, the lack of cleanliness, quality and supplies is ridiculous. I've never had to request necessities for an extended stay and then even some items not even be available? I was able to hand carry back 2 plates, 2 bowls, two sets of silverware, a spatula and spoon, one small pot and a skillet.Free Breakfast = granola bars, prepackaged muffins, and oatmeal packs (but no bowls / utensils?) And a mysterious unlabeled coffee from a dispenser that's not likely been cleaned since its installment.Dishwasher in Unit = A broken down dishwasher that won't even close unless forced and no complimentary detergents or cleaners.Kitchenette = a tiny sink crammed in the corner, a dirty fridge that doesn't keep food fresh, and filthy cabinets and drawers. I have two microwaves??? And any time I ask for a coffee maker, they're never available - because the only ones they have are broken.Living Space: the table in the unit is partially broken off the wall and completely uneven with the floor. My friend described it was feeling as though they were on a ship. The floors are so filthy, just cleaning water off the floor made the paper towel black. There are mystery splatters throughout the unit on the walls and frames. The furniture is completely shredded or scuffed with hair and dust collected from previous uses. The televisions are near unusable - the remote won't allow to switch inputs or even operate the guide. It's just a "universal" remote that doesn't belong to the TVs - I only tried to use them once before just using my own monitor I brought for work. Also, why is there only a single chair in a king suite? There are dead bugs in the light fictures. The shower head and faucet are loose from the wall, but hey at least I have hot water. There is no privacy - I can hear my neighbors above and next door clearly as though we are talking to each other so I imagine they can hear everything I'm saying as well. The bathroom window is just poorly sprayed on window fog? But there are streaks you can see though to outside. And of course all but one window has a screen so I can't open the windows for fresh air. While the black out curtains are okay (filthy but work), if I open them, anyone can look into the room and see everything as well - straight down to the bathroom.I'm also curious when the smoke detector was last serviced because I had tried to sear some pork which caused some smoke from the oil. Not only was it impossible to ventilate the smoke out of the unit, the smoke alarm never went off either as it would back home. The wifi is unreliable and insecure. Not suitable if trying to work remotely.I understand that house keeping would only visit once a week for an extended stay, however, why is trash a responsibility of the tenant? This was the first instance I've encountered this - every other extended stay cleared the bins. So because I was unaware, I had to call the front desk two separate days until finally was informed, "You're on the first floor, so there should be a dumpster somewhere nearby". They may not have been aware, but that "nearby" was at the at the end of the other side of the building. Side note: it's been a week, with two associates saying they'd mark my unit needing cleaning and still nothing. And honestly, THE LIST GOES ON. I can't even begin to explain the smell, the uneasiness of the electricity, the flies and of course the number of police visits for various (undisclosed) reasons. I'm very tired and feel more stressed and unsafe staying here than anywhere before. I've cancelled the extension I had in a few weeks within a day of being here. The location is relatively fine just probably don't go to the Walmart alone at night.

If you like being yelled at by management and housekeeping for simply asking a question and having appliances that don’t work and a bed frame that is broken down the middle then this is the place for you.If you want a pool like advertised, it’s filled in.If you want the pots and pans and utensils? They don’t have any.Want the burners in your room to work? They don’t.Floor so dirty your socks are black after walking on it? Check!Smoke-odor filled room? Got it.

I'm not sure if I will ever book another stay at an Extended Stay America after the state of the room and the treatment by the front desk staff. The room was somewhat clean, but did not come stocked with any kitchen items. The box springs on the king sized bed was completely busted and basically left the mattress to sink in the middle. The last straw involved an extension of our stay. We had originally booked 7 nights on the location's website directly. We needed an extra night. The night before, I visited the front desk and inquired about an additional night. They said that would be no problem, gave me a rate and had me run my credit card and provided an e-mail receipt. The next morning, the housekeeping came to the door no less than three time and indicated the room was not booked an additional night. Upon calling the front desk to determine the issue, the front desk attendant immediately became hostile and told us that they didn't extend our stay because we "booked through a third party" and the rate wasn't correct so they cancelled us and continued to berate me and accuse me of doing something wrong. I was so shocked at the behavior I was actually sick to my stomach. We left immediately and contacted the district manager, who was unhelpful and was unwilling to rectify the situation. For your own sake, do not book at this property. Anything is better.

The room smelled like cigars and BO. A tractor trailer was blocking all the handicap parking spaces. Checked out immediately.

The kitchen is not stocked. A tent on the counter said you can ask the front desk for what you need for the Kitchen but when I called, I was told their delivery wouldn't be until Tuesday. I was leaving on Monday. Microwave did not have a turntable. And I requested but did not get one. Bed was comfortable.

Horrible customer service. It is not at like pictures they have for this lenexa location. My daughter have her surgery and that why we had to choose this place. We asked them to give room on 1st floor which they didn’t. After 2 or 3 days, we asked the receptionist the cancellation policy and she said yes they will refund it back if you are shorting the stay because the medical reasons. After confirming with the receptionist, we booked the hotel with wheelchair accessible for my kid. And when asked for refund, the receptionist and customer service representative DENIED it and they said sorry for their mistake. That’s it. The room which they gave was on 3rd floor and that is not wheelchair accessible at all. The kitchen, microwave and refrigerator has mold. The bathroom is worst where door strip is broken, the shower tub is just not good to stand when showering and so not. Do not use this ever. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Horrible Services. I don’t want to give them a single star.
