Their pharmacy is never timely and constantly rude. A single prescription can take upwards of 20 minutes to get because of their incompetence

An exception to bad CVS's I have used in past. I recently had to go there because needed late night prescription and open 24 hrs. I usually hate CVS. Locations by me were rude, slow, made bad mistakes. They are understaffedand underpaid by CVS, so you get what you pay for with bad employees or burned out good ones. These guys were stars in Pharmacy! Especially hispanic guy who went out of his way to answer questions and young lady working window. They said they had already filled over 1,000 scripts and yet were friendly, nice, faster than expected..less than hr.

So I get a text saying my prescription is ready and when I get there I notice that it's a large bag and I ask what they have for me which turns out to be a special mouthwash I picked up last month. I point this out and tell the lady behind the counter that it was something else, she asks if I can wait 20 minutes to which I say OK since I had to pick some cough drops and other items. I then get what I need and proceed to the waiting area, at this point 30 minutes have passed and since it was pretty busy I continue to wait, 45 minutes into it I'm asked what I'm waiting on and again I tell this person who then tries to give me the same mouthwash I've already told I had picked up last month, she then fumbles thru whatever on the computer and tells me that she's gonna look into it. An hour into it another person asks the same question and again I go thru the exact same process of me pointing out that no I'm not here for the mouthwash but another item. The other person says that she will work on it and it would be 10 minutes, I pace around and then another person asks what I'm waiting for at this point I'm about to lose it. I give him my info and finally he finds what I came for and tells me that he doesn't know what they're doing over there. Well that was the cherry on top. I used to go to the Walgreens down the street and never had any issues like this one, our insurance changed and we are forced to use this pharmacy which I think I'm just gonna go to one further down the road and see if they don't have their heads in their ass like this one does.

September 11th at 1.04 p.m., I went to this location to pick up my online order, but there was a lady who wanted to skip me to serve another customer. She was rude, which is uncivilized behavior.

The manager was kind, the woman that checked me out when clearance wasn't ringing up right at self checkout was very kind and patient. But the gentleman that helped me in the beginning was not. I shop at CVS all the time so I know how the coupons work and what they're good on. The coupon did not come off on my purchase and he said well you have to insert it in the coupon slot first, I said I've never held that happen before but I listened because he works there and I don't. When it still didn't work even when I hit total, He kept telling me my coupon wouldn't work for my purchase. When I asked for the coupon back out so we could look at the exclusions he said he couldn't help me with that and I have to wait 45 minutes for a manager. He was obviously getting very flustered and there were other people in line for the actual check out he said I don't have time to help you multiple times. But I told him for some of us a dollar off is a decent amount of money, he agreed and said you know what pulled into his pocket and grabbed out a dollar. He said just take it. I said sir I'm not going to take your dollar. Now everyone is staring at us in the store cuz he's getting louder and I kept telling him Sir I'm not going to take your money. He kept telling me it's not worth waiting Just take the dollar. He then repeatedly told me, at least twice, and I quote 'to shut up and take the money' I kept repeating no sir I'm not going to. I said just cancel the transaction and I'll wait or come back for the manager. Mind you this man was definitely old enough to be my father. He knew way better than to talk to a customer like that, shut up and take it? That's not customer service. I overheard him talking to other people saying or retail isn't what it used to be. No it's not because we have 60-year-old something man telling 20-year-old something woman 'to shut up and take the money because i don't have time to help' This is your job to help. Less than 2 minutes from walking away from the self checkout a manager approached me and asked if she could help. She was able to help and was kind and agreed Yes the coupon should have worked and sure enough it did at the checkout. I understand computers do not work as they should But that doesn't mean employees should say they don't have time to help you or to shut up and take their money.I understand places are short staffed, but the manager just came out of nowhere and so did another employee. It seems like this employee might need more training and might do better not working at the checkout.I've worked retail and customer service based jobs for years I understand the struggle but this.. this was not ok.

I shopped there for a few things and no one was at register for check out? Finally I used self check out and the one staff member came in from outside. She yelled over (not sure if directed at me or other people using self check out? ) from 15 ft away to tell me my credit card was wrong. She never came close to help me just continued to yell. When I was alone and realized "Jennifer" was addressing me, she said that she was a "loud talker" and "did not like to get up in people's business", declining to look at the machine with me. She said she was working "all alone" (isn't that dangerous)? And that it was "ok for me to leave". Honestly I dont think I ever paid for my items. CVS stores are very inconsistent these days. I hope I am given a suervey for thia store too

Pharmacy hours change without notice. They were open until 11pm within the last month. But now that’s changed..no hours posted anywhere! Which based on other reviews it seems like they change up their hours frequently, which would explain why they have no hours posted. Smh what a shame.

Scheduled for vaccine, arrive there on time, greeted with a 'long wait' and 'cant tell you when' routine. Turns out 2 staff called out. The drive thru is ok, but in-person pharmacy side sucks. Not the first time they've failed, just finally put me over the edge.

I am finally FED UP with CVS! I've always had to count my meds before I leave the store because I've been shorted so many times; including controlled medications!! =O This was a more regular occurrence at the location inside of Target on Shawnee Mission Pkwy, but it's happened here, too. Last year, I accidentally left my wallet sitting on a table with a hand sanitizing station in the front of their store, and one of their employees stole it! I asked to see their camera footage, and they claimed they couldn't see anything on their video cameras, but then refused to let me see the footage! Magically, within a week, that specific employee was gone & now works stocking shelves at Hyvee... I had some very sentimental items in that wallet, and despite asking about it for several days, she never returned it. I hope the $80 dollars in the wallet was worth it because I lost several priceless items that were almost certainly just thrown away... ? I should've gotten the police involved, and really regret not doing so. The pharmacy hours were just shortened without any sort of notice to customers (besides a sign on the door, which is not helpful!), and now I have to spend tonight without my medication!! ? When I just walked in to ask about the pharmacy hours changing, one of the employees said, "Yeah, can't you see the sign?" Yes, you imbecile, I can read... I just wanted to know why there wasn't more notice to customers. So rude! The Walgreens down the street is open 24/7, and the staff there are much more friendly & competent. I hear the hyvee pharmacy next door is excellent as well! Also, this location can not keep key medications from the WHO's list of essential medications in stock! I understand some medications are under national shortages, but they can't even keep medications that aren't on shortage in stock! So pathetic. I'm switching pharmacies permanently. This location and the one in Target on SMP are the most sketchy pharmacies I've ever used. I've lived all over the country & have used many different pharmacies, including mom & pop pharmacies in the ghetto; I've never had any experiences that are even remotely compareable to these CVS locations, they are just awful! This is Johnson County KS, FFS! They just lost a very good customer (I'm a former cancer patient and take a ton of medications...) their loss; I'm DONE and so fed up with this place! Goodbye, CVS, you won't be missed...

CVS is a great pharmacy, has a minute clinic, and stocks personal hygiene and some grocery products.

Pharmacist that answered the phone was so rude. I asked how long till my prescription was ready and he said "not soon we are short staffed." When I politely told him it was urgent, he said "unless you want to come down here and fill it yourself, it will be a day or two"

They don't even deserve one star. I was told that CVS was in network for my insurance. When I took my first prescription, I asked them to confirm that they were in network, they told me yes. When I had to pay full price for my RX, they said it was probably because I had a $500 deductible. Once I learned that CVS was not in network, I called the Pharmacy manager who said I was paying for everything on a cash basis, their employees are trained and it was basically my fault. Will not shop here ever again!

Don't get your meds filled here if you need them the same day. It literally takes hours to put 30 pills in a bottle here. The big kicker is the pharmacy tech tells you at the beginning of the drop off conversation that "it won't take too long at all." The next thing I know, I'm being asked if I can pick it up the next day.

Darrel the pharmacist has 0 costumer service ability. Very rude at the window - very annoyed that I asked if I needed to give him a new insurance card - I knew I did and was happy to pull around and wait... to let other customers ahead of me. He then said they don't accept my insurance any more - BCBS. I said I have a good rx card. He sighed heavily. I said do you not want my business? It was terrible service. Horrible attitude from that man. When everyone hates getting RX from cvs you'd think they would want to keep customers. Never going back. Life time lenexa resident and will be spreading the word.
