Costco Pharmacy receives mixed reviews that highlight significant differences between locations. The pharmacy at the Lenexa store is praised for staff who go the extra mile, providing compassionate and helpful service, especially during medication shortages. They are noted for checking with suppliers to confirm inventory, saving customers time. In contrast, the pharmacy techs at the Midtown location are described as unhelpful in ordering prescriptions. The pharmacy overall is characterized as great, busy, and offering low prices. The broader Costco business is generally viewed positively. Many reviewers find the stores clean, well-stocked with necessities, and staffed with courteous and helpful people. Checkout lines are noted to move fast, with self-checkout options available. Some customers specifically appreciate the friendly and happy staff, attributing this to the company treating its employees well. The membership cost is considered worth it by many. However, several consistent criticisms emerge. The parking lot at one location is repeatedly described as awful and chaotic, making access difficult. Customer service at the general merchandise returns or checkout can be disorganized, leading to long waits and frustrating miscommunications. Some product stocking practices, like moving items, inconvenience shoppers. Additionally, changes to the food court, such as the removal of onions and sauerkraut for hot dogs, have deeply disappointed long-time customers, with some considering switching memberships to competitors as a result.
This is the best Costco in the area. They're always clean and they always have the necessities in stock. Staff are courteous and helpful. This one is on the KS side so it does sell hard liquor or wine like the MO stores do. Definitely worth the membership cost.

They are very polite and respectful, and helpful over the phone. Even understanding my Brasil accent.
