I had an MRI done in the first week of June of 2023. I showed up for my appt., paid up front what they had earlier informed me was my responsibility.. Over $2400. But they had told me it would be earlier over the phone that it would be $2100+.. but whatever, I was there, and wanted to know what was wrong with me..
Now... it took a week before I even heard the results on my MRI.. I had to contact Advent. Wasn't too happy with my experience.
December of 2023.. I received an email bill for the earlier said MRI, saying I owe an additional $1100.. What they heck for?
(I had not received any other invoices for this MRI.. so I was certainly taken back..6 months later ) FYI: when you get an email bill from Advent, you can't send a response back.. its a one way - do not respond email.
Its march now, and still doing the same dance, I have realized that Advent in their billing wisdom probably didn't invoice my insurance carrier (Blue Cross) promptly back in the summer of 2023. In August, I changed Insurance Carriers - job change..
In October of 2023, still experiencing the same symptoms that I had in June of 2023. - I got a more thorough MRI done at the Diagnostic Imaging Center. (they contacted me , with my doctor, in less than 24 hours..) cost out of my pocket $1100..
So, I got over charged.. didn't receive adequate care or contact.. and I am being billed for an MRI, I paid for back in June of 2023..
FAST FORWARD TO MAY 2024... The billing department at Advent contacted me directly - and admitted they had over charged me and they had been slow in processing payments from my insurance carrier, blah blah blah..
Bottom Line.. I didn't owe them $1100, more like $23, which I gladly paid. so that issue has been finally resolved.
For the record: This billing issue is not a reflection of the more than capable medical folks at Advent. I'm sure their medical staff is very competent, and knowledgeable. However, after having a very expensive MRI done there and this issue w/ billing - I probably won't be using Advent or recommend anyone to them. I often wonder how other people would have fared given the same circumstance.

I have been repeatedly throwing up blood showed the Dr photos and he then said I was lying and that the pictures were not from that day after scrolling through my camera photos on my phone. I told him it was and that he was wrong. He said he would check my blood and give me fluids. My hemoglobin comes back low among other levels being very low and he still says there is nothing wrong with me and releases me. He then writes all his lies in my chart and talks about how I moved to another state and was seen several times in the er there and there was nothing wrong there either. I have had 15 surgeries in 5 years and a bowel blockage and several inpatient stays for internal bleeding over the last 2 years. Don't go to this hospital if you actually have something wrong because they won't believe you.

My better half had stomach discomfort from what turned out to be a UTI. We made an appointment and already were in the Advent system. We were waited on immediately and saw Doctor Digiacinto shortly thereafter. He diagnosed the problem and prescribed a medicine to treat it. We were in and out in 1 1/2 hours, and picked up the prescription that evening. We were very pleased, and so much better than the Advent on 75th street.

This hospital has horrible access to the ER. I hope your not in a hurry, because there is no turn available from Prairie Star Pkwy if you are coming from the East (i.e. K-7 Hwy). You litterally have to drive past the hospital and then circle the roundabout. In addition, I don't think this hospital has helecopter access like all the other hospitals in the area.
Otherwise, this hospital has nice doctors with helpful staff.

Older nurse treated my wife and son horrible. Bedside manner was even worse. They just got up and left because of her attitude. Very disappointed
