Jacob and the wonderful staff at Academy bank are so helpful! I am blessed to find a bank in such a large area like KC, who cares and goes out of their way to give top notch hometown service! I would give 50 stars but google allows 5!

Sadly they only had one teller up and running and he wasn’t trained properly. He was clearly new and overwhelmed. I waited and waited and waited for a simply withdraw. He was questioning every decision he made and it broke my heart for him. I wish academy bank invested more into there employees and property trained them so when they are doing the job they are more confident! I talked with the branch manager who introduced herself to me as she hovered over him the whole time. Witch can also be intimidating! It was just clear he was new. But i personally didn’t have a good experience and I waited a while! I sympathize with him but I think they can do better as a bank! They have flyer all over to do a Google review and if you give bad service, then you get a bad review. And no one apologized for the inconvenience. I would’ve given a better review if they would’ve taken accountability for their actions but they didn’t. It could’ve been a simple as, “I’m sorry for your inconvenience. Thank you for being understanding. He’s new.” But nope nothing.

Have had a lot of problems banking here. From someone cashing a check that was supposed to be shredded do to being told it would not go through. Also i keep getti g locked out of online banking even though i have the right password. And never able to get ahold of someone. The only good one there is Maria

Employees are amazing! Everyone welcomes you, make you feel important and always willing to help! It’s very hard to find banks that make you feel appreciated and that remember you! Love the culture!
