I normally don't like to leave poor reviews but...what a pain to work with the folks at this store! I made an online furniture order and came in the next day to double check that I liked the color I had chosen online. I chose another similar color and asked if they could change the order. The payment hadn't even processed yet and it was far less than 24 hours. They said I will have to pay for the order, wait for delivery (probably a month) and then return the item. I could order the item in the preferred color and pay for that one as well but it would also take a month and they could not simply change the order and charge me once. I'd have to pay for both items and wait for a refund from the first one after it's delivered and returned. I'm going to contest the charge with my credit card company but simply changing an order less than a day after it was made to a different finish shouldn't take all that. I won't be ordering either piece of furniture and cancelling the order altogether. What a mess.

I needed to return a tablecloth bought online - it was not the right size, so I took it into the Leawood store. The person that waited on me did not say one word to me other than why are you returning this. She was rude and disrespectful in her whole approach. Gave me a smirk when she handed me my receipt. I should learn that this Pottery Barn is sub par in customer service. It has been this way in the past - and it shows nothing has changed in the present. Will find other ways to decorate my home.

I would not give even one star. The worst customer service that I have ever received . I bought online through wedding registry the bedding set. They changed already two times the delivery date. Now it would be late two more weeks after wedding ceremony, and who knows maybe more. Never recommend anyone this store.

March 24-2024Awful! I wanted to purchase a mirror. They had two on the floor and the “Visual Manager” said no, she can’t sell one of the two, she wants both on the showroom floor. They had no others in stock. I asked to purchase and have them ship to store. I was also told no, a mirror now requires white glove delivery to the home. The delivery charge is $60…for a mirror!!! Insane. Pottery Barn is arrogant and foolish. They allowed a willing purchaser to leave the store and let a $600 sale leave because the VISUAL MANAGER wanted two of the same mirror on the floor. Also, why in the world would anyone spend 10% of the value of an item to have it shipped to their home?!?! It’s a mirror, not a Faberge’ Egg.

Customer service is the absolute worst here. First time I went in it took an hour to get anyone to help me - I would have left but so wanted 2 leather sofas and 2 leather recliners I had seen online, so I waitedToday I went back for a second time to get some color samples of drapes and the lady was so unhelpful. Instead of sending me with ANY color samples she just told me I could get online. I told her I knew that but am moving in two weeks and really don’t have time to wait.. Still no help and she happily let me leave. She might have well have opened the door and escorted me out!They obviously have so much business they don’t need anyone coming into their store!Only giving 2 stars for the quality of their furnishings- ZERO stars for customer service

If I could give you a 1star I would I ordered like $15,000 worth of furniture can’t even get it delivered and when you did come you didn’t have the merchandise so I asked if you could deliver like the next day since I’m having Thanksgiving at my house and it is a kitchen table and you said no not too happy. I think I will give you back this credit card Pottery Barn credit card.

Incredibly rude - My husband and I went to look at some pcs we found online. One of the sales women was called on to help us and begrudgingly said a few sentences to us, another sales person had to take a call while we were looking at fabric. When we left my husband made a comment about them not thinking we could afford to shop there. Unless you look certain way I wouldn’t recommend going in this store.

Very rude - my husband and I went into the store to look at a few pcs we saw online. Only one sales woman offered to help us but we were just looking. When we needed help again we were handed off three times and each time the sales person begrudgingly helped us. We had made a choice on a sofa but just went home and purchased it online. My husband and I were dressed in our house comfies, apparently we didn't look like we "belonged" in the store. I really hope they work off commission so I can be happy that non of them received credit for our purchase.

Complaint warning.I bought outdoor summer throw pillows from #potterybarn on April 23rd. Guess who still does not have the pillows? This girl!I called to cancel the order, because summer time pillows are no longer a priority. This is their process.You can put in a cancel request and the vendor decides to approve the cancel request...or not. This request can take up to 5-7 days, so consider the pillows still yours until you hear.It is entirely possible you won't hear. If that is the case, you can call #potterybarn and place a 2nd cancel request that only the vendor can approve and will take 5-7 days.If you are doing that math, that is a 14 day process on top of the 112 days I have waited since placing my order.In the meantime, the pillows may be delivered. If that is the case, you can return the the pillows, but shipping costs are on you.Horrible customer service. No more #potterybarn for me!

Absolutely ridiculous process they have for returns on wedding registry items when you go to the store. They told me I had to put my returned items on an e-gift card since they don’t have store gift cards, which was fine but I waited for hours for the email to come since I wanted to use the store credit on other items and it never came through. I asked them to recheck my email I gave to them and they told me they don’t have my email on file so they shipped it my address and should have it in a week or so. So frustrating when I wanted to spend the credit the day I returned the items.
