Heather Bortnick and her team (Samantha and others) are something else. Their team at Reece Nichols were very fast and efficient. Most importantly, they are knowledgable, energetic, and well-connected. They get things done! Within four days of speaking with Heather, we were in escrow on a perfect investment property and we closed escrow a couple short weeks later. Highest recommendation. You get a team working on your behalf. It was an incredible experience.

Having bought and sold many homes in the KC metropolitan area, my husband and I can honestly say that our experience with Angel O’Brien and Kathy Koehler of the Koehler Bortnick team was exceptional. Anyone who has ever bought or sold a home knows how stressful it can be. Unlike with with other agencies that we’ve used, the Koehler Bortnick team managed the entire listing and sales process, going well above and beyond the standard real estate services that we’ve not only experienced, but had come to expect from other agents and agencies. Angel and Kathy’s comps were more extensive and detailed, their marketing and sales brochures were more extensive, and their open houses were more organized and well attended. More importantly, Angel and Kathy were accessible to us, both in person and by phone, throughout the listing, marketing, and sales process. In particular, Angel regularly reached out to provide status updates; she was always there, quickly returning our calls the few times she wasn’t able to answer directly. Have you ever been trying to list, or worse, purchase a home and your real estate agent is MIA? Well, the Koehler Bortnick office provides access to on call agents 24 hrs a day. Yes, you heard me correctly, actual agents - not a telephone answering service - available 24 hrs a day! I'll save my detailed review for my specific agent, Veronica Jaster, but working with this team on both buying and selling has been pretty great. They are sharp, on the ball, know the trends, and more importantly are able to navigate the insanity of the 2021 housing market. I should clarify the current state of things because this is likely going to look a whole lot different later if/when the bubble pops. The early 2021 market has a pent up demand from the pandemic, low inventory, insane competition when buying, over-asking offers 100% of the time, and super low mortgage rates. It's a perfect storm and the biggest sellers market in a long time, and you have to be a savvy buyer to say the least. Years ago I used a different agency and realtor who was nice. Nothing against him, but he would've gotten figuratively eaten alive in this current market. This time, we were able to find a house and get it under contract within just a few weeks into our search which is almost unheard of.Good guidance, staging, and strategy across the board. I'd definitely recommend working with an agent on the KB team and feel fortunate the way things have shaken out for us in this Hunger Games, musical chairs housing market.
