I sat at the er for an hour before deciding to go to a walk in and luckily I got Dr. Christifano. He really genuinely cares about his patients and reassured me we would figure out what is going on with my health. Couldn’t be more grateful

My roommate went in for a Physical with an NP, she did not take the time to listen to her concerns. She had asked the NP to take a look at her foot which was had been red and swollen for some time. The nurse that was present told the NP that she was running a low grade fever (which indicates INFECTION), the NP told her to go to her foot doctor and was rushed out the door for the next 'victim" to arrive. ........Now I don't know about y'all, but I would want dinner and drinks after getting screwed like that.

After Leadwood Family Care became a part of AdventHealth, I have noticed a decrease in the level of service provided. Despite being a long-time patient of Dr. Christifano, I had to make an appointment a month in advance, which was eventually canceled and rescheduled for over a month later. I was pushed back in the queue. When I spoke to Tammy at their office, it seemed that they no longer care about their patients as much as they used to. It's unfortunate to see this decline in quality of care.

Dr Horton is the kindest doctor you will find. He spends his time with you, never makes you feel like he's in a rush. His nurses are absolute gems as well. So responsive!

Dr. Christifano on my first visit took the time to understand why I switched from another practice to his. He came highly recommended to me. I am glad I have made the switch to him being my primary care provider. He has a great demeanor. I would recommend visiting this practice for all your medical needs.

Had an on going issue that I saw Christifano for during a walk-in appointment. This man was one of the most disrespectful doctors I have ever encountered. From the beginning he was clearly fishing to find a drug he could legally prescribe me; repeatedly exclaiming that he didn't have tests in which other doctors had already signed off on. He became furious when I asked about alternative medicines I could take for the issue, as the medicine he was trying to prescribe I was allergic to. The appointment ended in him trying to refer me to a specialist doctor who he admitted multiple times was not the cause of my symptoms, and yelling angrily about my concern. BEWARE of this doctor. Dr. Louis Christifano is a textbook example of a doctor trying to manipulate their patient for the maximum profit they can legally obtain.

I do not write reviews but felt it necessary when I saw the moronic 1 star review. Dr. Christifano is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. He sits down with you and spends quality time to understands what is wrong. He hardly pushes drugs lol. I have asked him about medications that have helped in the past and he said they weren’t necessary. The 1 star reviewer was obviously from a holistic nut job who tried to tell a medical professional who has a pesky degree and experience to know what helps the best. I highly recommend Dr. Christafano to anyone who asks and they all love him which sucks because it is hard to see him.

Deb Brown has been my GP for years. I've moved away and have plans to return just to see her. She has always been caring and took time to sit with me when I needed it. I've had 1 bad experience here at the walk in clinic, many many years ago, with a doctor who is no longer there (thank God, she was awful). But back to the good stuff...my husband's doctor was Dr. Horton. He really liked him and it was Dr. Horton who caught my husband's cancer early.

I've been a loyal patient to Leawood Family Care for 20+ years. Unfortunately, the caring staff has recently been taken over by bully doctors, rude staff, and greed. This family practice will charge you for any possible charge they can find and know their way around to charge insurance companies ... and you, and get away with it. They will bully you into tests you don't need, and charge anything they can to make a buck. They will also charge MULTIPLE office visits for one visit and justify it. If you're like me, you have a deductible to meet, and trust me, Leawood Family Care will eat up that deductible quickly, charging your credit card they have on file, laughing all the way to the bank. Even worse, they don't care if you disagree with the bogus charges, they just turn cold and ugly. It's just horrible. They got me this time, but never again. I've found another office that actually cares for their patients and are not out to rob their patients. Save yourself some money, time, and headaches. AVOID this family practice at all costs.

I love this practice. All of the staff is kind and helpful, and there are so many doctors that you can usually make an appointment quickly, because who wants to wait around when they're sick?! Lovelovelove that they have walk-in urgent care hours. Pediatricians always have this, but why don't doctors for grownups? Well this one does, and I appreciate so much. I dropped in today and was seen by Dr. John Horton after only about a 15 minute wait. He was super nice and explained everything thoroughly to me. I'm big on décor and design, it really affects my mood, and this office is really lovely- clean, fresh, and modern. Wish all doctors offices were this great.

Criminals. After they set my credit card on auto pay and charged me monthly for months, then I was the one who had to fight to get my money back, and they never even offered an apology, they actually argued with me about every 30 dollars they had to refund. I know I should have caught the charges sooner but we move a lot of small charges through this credit card and have a lot of medical expenses. But the icing on the cake was when I showed up with my elderly parents for their annual visit, only then did they tell me they fired them because they didn't like me advocating for my dad two months ago when his BP was running 180/100 and his followup wasn't for two months. When I walked in they handed me the letter they sent to the wrong address (they had the correct address, they sent my refund there) and tell me they won't see us anymore. When I asked to talk to someone other than front desk clerk they called security. Bottom line, Campbell wants to see you if you got botox money and everyone else can p**s off.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Christifano for over 15 years, and wish that I found him 15 years. He’s smart, thorough, and professional. He’s A+ on bedside manner. He treats me as much as a friend as a patient. Thank you, Dr C.

I've been a patient at LFC for many years (10+) and I'm highly disappointed by the customer service of the desk staff. Extremely poor, very unwelcoming and not helpful. Will definitely be going elsewhere from now on.
