The women on the morning shift is amazing. The room was very clean. The housekeeping always stayed on top of the service. Everyone here were polite and professional. The prices they charged you is undermined but was very impress with my room, full sized kitchen, clean bedding and services are amazing. I will recommend to anyone stay here. Very quiet atmosphere no interruptions of any sort. No noise.

Our experience at the Leavenworth Local Hotel was truly delightful. The refurbishment of the historical structure added to the charm of our stay. The rooms were generously sized, equipped with excellent room-darkening shades that ensured a restful sleep. However, it's worth noting that the walls were a bit thin, and the doors closed rather heavily, leading to some disturbances during the night. Despite this minor inconvenience, the hotel's overall charm made a lasting impression, and we would gladly choose to stay here again!

Amazing inside with lots of historic features still in tack. There are lots of decorations and photos to help show the people who made a part of history by going there for high school. The gym is amazing and still in great shape. The auditorium takes the historic feel and sprinkles in some modern flare to make it a great spot to host a small event. Staff was friendly and helpful as well. Very welcoming and down home feel as soon as you walk through the doors with a touch of luxury.Nearby activities: The hotel is located right on the outside of historic downtown Leavenworth, giving it direct access to all activities going on within a few blocks of walking distance. There is a movie theater, Retrocade, and lots of small shops located a few blocks over from this location.

This place is fantastic!!We stayed in the Prom King Suite a couple of nights for my wife's birthday. She wanted to go to Weston and there were no rooms available there. This is only 10 minutes away.I love repurposed buildings. This is an old Catholic school. They kept the gym and auditorium which are available for use. They have a nice fitness center. The lady at the front desk was kind and helpful. The rooms are super clean and a bit spartan but cool. Would be fine for an extended stay.A couple of cons: the lobby vending machine is useless and doesn't work. They don't own it though. Also there are no elevators. You cannot navigate this building at all without encountering some stairs. Not sure how they get around the ADA, but if you have mobility issues this is not the place for you. We climbed 3 flights to get to our room. Had to make two trips because of luggage. We are blessed to be ambulatory, but if you are not, you won't be able to get around this building. However they were forthright about that. They mentioned it in pre-arrival texts, of which there were too many.Would I stay here again? Absolutely! I would pack less though. Ha! The beds are super comfortable and clean. The individual HVAC is like a residential unit and not the noisy wall units normally found in hotels. Sleep here was gracious, quiet and undisturbed.

This hotel is a gem in the middle of downtown, I enjoyed my stay just as much as any high-end hotel. The only thing it lacks is a hot breakfast, breakfast is make your own coffee and oatmeal or grab a muffin. But The Depot restaurant it's just a walk away with delicious food. Last but not least, you have to take your own trash out. All in all. These are just minute issues, I would stay in this hotel again with great confidence. Lastly, the rates are competitive and the customer service a plus. I recommend this hotel.Rooms: Rooms are not a Radisson Inn but are very cozy and updated nicely.Safety: The hotel is in the center of downtown a little rough but very safe.Walkability: Well centered, within walking distance to about everything you need.Food & drinks: For food and drinks, there's not too many places to go for a drink but as far as eatery there are plenty ranging from Jamaica, Tai, Italian and the local restaurants all within walking distances and all are really good.

If you’re needing a place to stay in the area of downtown Leavenworth, I would recommend The Local. Our room was clean and comfortable. The room amenities were above expectations with not just a fridge and microwave but a dishwasher, sink, and a built in burner for cooking. Equipped with cooking equipment, eating utensils and plates and even a toaster. The Keurig coffee maker was an added bonus. The walk-in shower was nice. I would stay here again.Safety: Multiple entrances all requiring card key entry.Walkability: Within walking distance of downtown Leavenworth shopping, restaurants, and local brewery

The Leavenworth Local lets you have a pet ! This hotel was outstanding ! I was just amazed at how friendly everyone was to my dog and I. The accommodations surprised me with how nice, clean, with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, extra large TV all in a Study Hall Windowless Full room. All that for an amazingly low price ! Next time I am going to get a Prom King Suite. It is not that much more but it will be money well spent. And I will be back because my son is stationed at Ft. Leavenworth. Thank you to everyone that I had the pleasure and privilege of meeting that works there. I greatly appreciate your hospitality !Man and his dogWalkability: You can walk all around the area and find some really interesting shops and restaurants to spend some time.Food & drinks: I ate at the Tenpenny restaurant. The food was delicious and is only two short blocks away. It is easily in walking distance. Two blocks.Noteworthy details: The architect and atmosphere is just amazing. With the Leavenworth Local being an old Catholic school the renovations were done so tastefully.

I spent Friday & Saturday nights there and was very pleased with my experience. There was an event Saturday evening, so there was extra noise emanating from the lobby, but I doubt if the rooms farther down the hall from mine, or on the other floors, heard any of it. I could have requested a different room (instead of 101), but I wasn't in the room that much, and was so tired, the noise didn't really bother me. The staff was 5+ stars, the room & bathroom were very clean and well-appointed. I don't think they could've done a better job in the school-to-hotel conversion. The downtown location has historical significance, but it is not near any highway. Interesting sights and good restaurants close by.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved how the gym had all the available activities for the kids: basketball, corn hole, billiards, and more.
