I had a wonderful employee help me this morning. Normally when it says my insurance denies coverage for medication, workers just get frustrated and ask me to pay full price instead of taking an extra minute to look it over again (because that’s typically the case). This usually happens at every pharmacy I go to. But today the employee took extra time to look over insurance information again and then find a coupon as well to help me get a reasonable price for my medication. This is my only positive experience with a pharmacy since I started taking medications 10+ years ago. I wish I could get this employee every time. I’m normally exhausted from anxiety about being able to afford healthcare so it was just a blessing to have someone nice at the pharmacy for once. They deserve recognition.

The worst customer service I have ever received in my life. The lady with the really short red hair who works the drive through pharmacy there is the worst customer service representative I've ever had an encounter with. She is always EXTREMELY passive aggressive & rude. Not only is she making every single trip to the pharmacy a dread but this last time I went she got my medication wrong & I didn't notice until I got home & by that time I had worked 12 hours & just wanted to sleep so next day after work I went back & I made sure she gave me the right medication this time but then realized she never gave me my credit card back. She doesn't apologize or seem sorry at all & in fact, I am almost positive she's doing it on purpose. I've had MULTIPLE instances with her & I now know it's not a coincidence. Not sure if anyone else has had a similar situation with her or if she's just singling me out but I have changed pharmacies. I have never wrote a negative review for a company before but after dealing with this for MONTHS I am done. It's the Walgreens on 23rd in Lawrence. Be weary dealing with her!!!

Kansans voted for legal abortions but Walgreens thinks they know better than the people of the state. Would go to any other pharmacy that respects women's rights.

I've been trying to be patient with this pharmacy, but we have been using this location since moving to Lawrence and every pharmacy visit is an odyssey into frustration. They can't find prescriptions that are filled, prices change from visit to visit, refills take days to refill. And today I called on a refill that I had been out of for week while the app and texts said waiting on insurance however when I called the pharmacist says there's no record of my order and that I should have called sooner. So that's it after using Walgreens for over 6 years we are moving on because this location can't seem to get it together.

Great staff. Shelves are pretty bare in the store.

Seems to be a run on pretend Yelpers that make one visit here, didn't get the treatment they wanted and boo-hoo online and move on--typically out of state. Meh. This store is what it is: a behemoth corporation parking yet another pharmacy on a prominent corner so that America's over-medicated masses can ignore all things that make one healthy and gloss over it with prescription drugs, its profits streaming out of state to the wealthy. Not yet participating? Turn on the TV, lots of suggestions. Pick one and join the fun. Sorry, I haven't yet but plenty of ideas in case I do.That said, I always find what I need at this store and it's easy in, easy out, no fuss and muss. Right now I appreciate the fact that masks are required for entry, the staff is masked and gloved (on my past two visits) and there's shielding in place at checkout and contact free payment with credit card.Store carries everything you need but I tend to come here for some hard to find items like scent free lotions, the scented kind to which I'm sensitive. Pricey yes, but hard to find as well so don't have to get them often, thank goodness.Lots of other things here you might not expect. Part convenience store, all things over the counter pharmacy related you'd expect. If you come, plenty of parking, spacious, drive through pharmacy pick-up, and... surprise! Right on a corner like about a dozen others in the city.

Overpriced. Absolutely worst drugstore ever. I wouldn't even purchase a stick of gum here. Buyers beware. Shop at your friendly neighborhood Bartell Drugs store instead.

The insurance benefits card where OTC products can be purchased through the card list Walgreens as one of the participating stores. When I tried to check out manager told me he had no way of processing the card. He couldn't scan the barcode ( with a scanning wand right there) or enter the card number ( into a cash register keypad right there). He spoke to the flummoxed cashier like I wasn't there saying that they probably weren't a participating store and probably just for pharmacy etc. I negated this not that it mattered. He didn't want to bother to do anything but treat customers like they were begging trash. So I wasted an hour in their "fancy" store for nothing. Maybe the next manager will be educated in forms of payment.

I have been on hold for more than 30 minutes at the 400 W. 23d Street Walgreens. To add insult to injurty, I heard the same stupid "We're sorry, our staff is answering other calls..." every 15 seconds - more than 60 times. I am sorry too!!!

This review is based on the pharmacy section only. They are slow. I use the app to order refills and it doesn't seem to work. Prescriptions called in by doctor take hours to fill as they have to check their voicemail or something. I would avoid this pharmacy if you want prescriptions filled in a timely manner.

Pharmacy sends me a text at 8 AM today says my Rx is ready. Go to pick it up. They can't get the GoodRx app price to work. New technicians, again. Pharmacists are way overwhelmed. 30 minutes at drive thru. Go inside. Another 15 min wait. Then I was told they only had 5 pills. Seriously?
