After being with another credit union for over a decade, I switched to Truity a few years ago and their customer service has just reminded me time and time again as to why I left my old credit union. I have had good experiences at all of the branches here in Lawrence but i especially love the group at the 31st st branch. I am greeted by name and they have gone above and beyond to provide what their competitors are lacking!

I had a couple of issues and the persons I spoke with were very helpful and kind to me. They took care of my issue with no judgement, a lot of times at other places I felt like I was being judged for an issue that I knew nothing about until it showed up on my account.

Left my debit card in their ATM. Was first in line the next day to get it back. Explained I was leaving on a long trip and was so glad they had it, and said I won't need to take out any cash now. Four hours from home I try to get gas. They had shut down my card. Of course, you can't speak to anyone at the actual branch. They make you call Oklahoma. Customer "service" kept me on the line for 45 minutes and still hadn't bothered to call the Lawrence branch and ask what happened. And they were about to close for the day. They offered no resolution. No one cared I was a single mother with no money or credit cards, and now no debit card, five hours from home at that point, and with no way to put gas in my car, no way to feed my 14-year-old daughter, no way to pay for our motel. Found a local manager's number on a Chamber of Commerce website. Left voice mail. No response. Had to beg my boss to use our company credit card. She had to call, on a weekend, to increase my limit. Embarrassed the hell out of me. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THESE BUFFOONS TO ANYONE!!!

Justin a young guy working this Saturday 10/7/17 had the worst customer service of my life, i came in with my fiance we both recently started banking with truity, the employee "Justin" was very demeaning and spiteful in regards to helping solve an issue with our banking, and when we had to come back in 45 minutes later we were LUCKILY helped by a "Kegan" who was outstanding in every way though while he was helping us the Justin guy came back over just to laugh and be negative which was over the top for me, we are about ready to switch banks just based on the attitude and action on the employee Justin. Please remove that guy I rarely have ever encountered such a strange and spiteful individual such as that and very hard to deal with when trying to access my money. =( Also, I see the owner likes to respond only to positive reviews and chooses not to respond when people like myself have a real issue... come on guys get it together, and to the owner, a response would be nice.
