Had my wedding dress altered here. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Dress was completed a little earlier than expected which is great and they are happy to hold it a few days after final fitting.
Only issue I had was final cost was over 50% initial estimate, almost 100% more. I was warned that it would depend on how complicated the sleeve work ends up being but I assume they'd at least give a heads up if it was going to be significantly more than original estimate. Thankfully I was in a better financial situation than when I first dropped off the dress but I was still shocked when given the receipt.

Sew Forth saved my wedding dress when I had originally taken it to another alterations person in town. I truly thought it might have been ruined and was so worried, but Melanie is a genius! We did multiple fittings and she made sure it was perfect, even adding boning to make sure it sat right. I’m so pleased, thank you Melanie and Sew Forth!

We rented our wedding tuxes and got my wedding dress altered at Sew Forth. Friendly and very helpful staff! Everything looked great and was done in a timely manner!

My favourite tailor service in Kansas. They're affordable and do good work and are willing to work with you on timing. They are popular and therefore busy so expect a 2-3 week wait for work to be done.

Have a wedding in California and they helped me get all my measurements done in 5 minutes. Super kind, very helpful. Would definitely recommend if you need some stuff done!

I had my wedding dress altered at Sew Forth in Lawrence, and they did an amazing job! Every little detail of my dress was looked into, and it fit me like a glove on my wedding day :) They work hand-in-hand with J.Lynn Bridal, as well, so I didn't have to worry about hiding my dress from my husband. Once it was finished, they sent the dress to J.Lynn for pickup a few days before the wedding. I definitely recommend Sew Forth Alterations!

I came in 2 months before my wedding to get a bustle added to my dress and in the initial appointment we tested out several different bustle style options together, I decided on the one I liked the best, and then the dress was done and ready for pickup just a few weeks later - perfectly as discussed, discreet clear buttons, and it even came with a diagram of which hooks went on which buttons that definitely came in handy on the wedding day during bustling time. In the final appointment we found a piece of lace that was sticking out weirdly (the fault of the dress design) and they tacked it down for me as well. Sew Forth was great and I would trust them to alter anything of mine again!Service: Alterations

I needed my suit pants refitted fast for a funeral. Brought them in Monday, asked to have them back close of business Thursday (funeral was Friday). Sew Forth had them back to me by noon on Wednesday, and the pants fit perfectly. And price was super reasonable.

I brought in a bridesmaid dress toward the beginning of August for a wedding in October and they gave me very little communication on to when it would be done or how much it would even cost. I looked at the website to try and figure some of these things out myself, but only found the potential timeline.
My dress was done September 16th, and when I went to pick it up, they didn’t have any dressing rooms available for me to try it and, unfortunately, I was in a rush to make it somewhere, so I didn’t have to time to wait for one. Big mistake. I should’ve waited because the dress did not fit at all like it did when the seamstress had the dress pinned up. They took in the straps, but didn’t take in the waist part very much like was discussed, so now I have no shape when wearing the dress. Luckily it’s only a bridesmaid dress.
They are very nice people, but just seem to be in a hurry most of the time.
