“Googols has been such a great fit for our pre-schooler! They truly see her for the person she is and fosters her talents and friendships with other kids. She's upset when it's not a school day, she loves it that much.”

“My son has gone to school at Prairie Moon Early Childhood Center for three years now. He loves his teachers and is excited to go to school everyday. He sings beautiful songs, plays with his friends, and gets to play outside! He has a real understanding of the natural world and is learning to do his part to keep it safe and care for it and for others. It is a wonderful and enriching part of our lives.”

“We absolutely love FPC First 5 Years! The whole staff is wonderful. Very caring, well organized, and I'm confident my children will be more than ready for kindergarten because of their experiences here. I love that the director greets each child by name every day. It's very easy to bring my children to a school that I trust and that they love as well. I can't say enough good things about it!”

“My grandson went there several years. They were kind and skilled and adaptable. For example. he had some behavioral issues at his regular grade level. They moved him up to a more challenging program and he was happy. Sorry to say goodbye. Oh--they had a charming graduation ceremony.”

Any problems that have arisen with potty training or behavior have been dealt with quickly and with compassion. Would highly recommend.”

“My son attended school at Century for three and a half years while we lived in Lawrence and we continue to be thankful for his experiences there.Prior to attending Century, my son attended Pre-K and Kindergarten at Hilltop (at the University of Kansas). Hilltop is an amazing educational facility with great staff and they do a lot of work to create a sense of community among the children and parents; however, my son struggled with the traditional classroom format used there. Parent-Teacher conferences at Hilltop were predictably painful as I knew that the news regarding his progress was never going to be reassuring. When picking up my son from Hilltop I would ask about his day and his response always included some variation of "Not good", as he was frequently in trouble due to his inability to sit still, focus, and remain quiet at a level that was age-appropriate. When trying to help him with his homework, the process was excessively time consuming, unproductive, and frustrating for everyone involved. While he was still in Kindergarten, I began preparing myself for the possibility that my son might always struggle with academics and that the general school experience would likely be painful for him. After Hilltop, I looked into Century school and while I was fairly optimistic, my wife was skeptical. We finally agreed that we would enroll our son at Century in the fall and evaluate his progress at the end of the semester. During the first few days of school at Century, I continued to ask my son about his day and he responded with the predictable "Not good". Concerned, I talked to his classroom teacher and told her that I was aware that my son was struggling and asked if there was anything I could do to help. His teacher responded with a confused look and after a short discussion, she made it clear that my son was doing really well in her class. I was still skeptical and wondered if perhaps his teacher wasn't aware or (or worse) wasn't concerned with my son's academic deficits and behavioral problems. For the next few weeks, I continued to ask my son how his day was and he continued to respond "Not good", except now I pressed him for more information. I'll always remember the expression of deep thinking my son made when I asked him to explain what when wrong and after a few moments of thinking he would say something along the lines of "Nothing, I guess it was good." After approximately two weeks of this Q&A, for the first time in almost two years, my son began telling me that he had a good day at school. My wife and I noticed that his attitude towards academics began to shift and when his scores came in, he showed remarkable improvements particularly in reading, which was an area that he did not previously enjoy and where he showed some early deficits. At the end of the semester, the decision to stay at Century was clear. While at Century, my son showed consistent improvements in his academics, he began to enjoy reading and math, and having him complete reading tasks outside of class (there's no homework at Century) became considerably easier. Century school has many other great aspects that I'll leave to the other reviewers to cover. When we had to leave Century school it was hard for all of us, but I don't know if it was harder to leave for my son or my (previously skeptical) wife. Now that we no longer live in Lawrence, my son is back in a public school setting where he continues to do well in academics but is again struggling to conform his behavior (e.g. excessive talking) to classroom expectations. My hope is that during his time at Century, he obtained all of the foundational aspects of reading, writing, and math that he can rely on to be successful in school.”

“La Petite Academy is an exceptional childcare facility. The staff is friendly and professional, and they genuinely care about the children's development. The facility is clean, bright, and well-equipped with age-appropriate toys and activities. The teachers are great at engaging the kids and keeping them interested. They also have excellent communication with parents. They provide regular updates and photos throughout the day and are always available to answer questions and address concerns. Overall, I highly recommend La Petite Academy to anyone looking for quality childcare. They go above and beyond in every aspect, and we feel lucky to have found such a wonderful place for both of our children.”

“I’m just a former employee and I just wanted to leave a positive review. The directors and employees are all so welcoming and bring a very warm atmosphere for the work place. I loved working here. The teachers really take their time to plan out the weekly activities for their kiddos and I would recommend any parent to bring their kid here and anyone looking to apply to submit an app!”
