No. The ladies at the front desk were not concerned about the information I provided them, regarding the health of my cat. They did not report the severity of this information to the veterinarian. The information was time sensitive. My cat ultimately had to be put down. I consider this lack of professionalism very concerning. Beware‼‼‼

We had to take our cat to be euthanized and they just handled everything so perfectly and gently. They give you the time you need, and talk you through the whole process. If you unfortunately have to do this process, I recommend these wonderful people.

This place is as good a vet practice as I have ever encountered. What a wonderful resource to have in Lawrence. I was in Lawrence for a family medical emergency. I brought my dog with me. He started drinking a lot of water and acting lethargic. First I tried another vet because Animal Hospital was booked. That vet completely missed the issue. I called Animal Hospital back and they were able to fit him in after I described the symptoms. The quickly diagnosed him as diabetic and have worked with me extensively, including answering multiple emails off hours, to make sure Biscuit is on the right dose of insulin and a new, correct diet, and that I understand how to manage his condition. They saved his life and my sanity and kept the treatments as affordable as possible. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Hall and this practice for their care, compassion and expertise in helping me and my dog. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Thank you so much Animal Hospital. I am literally tearing up as I write this review.

They have always treated us well. Taken numerous pets here over the years. Not the cheapest, but not unfair. They will steer you toward the best possible outcome in tough situations.

I've tried many animal clinics here in Lawrence and this was far exceeds any of the other ones. They are so kind and helpful. I'm extremely picky when it comes to my boxer and English Bulldog..... they were very understanding and reassuring with my concerns. They are extremely responsible, the quality of care is AMAZING!

My dog and I recently moved to Lawrence and needed to find a vet to do some follow up X-rays from a recent knee surgery he had and update his vaccines. I spent a few weeks stalling between where to take him and glad I made the decision to come here! Super friendly staff and my dog did great with them. The vet he had was so good at communicating with me! She called to make sure I saw her email about his x-rays and took the initiative to send them to her colleague to look them over, when the veterinarian that originally did his surgery, was unresponsive. I 100% appreciate her taking initiative and making sure we were taken care of.

My boyfriend and I love this vet so, so much. We tried Lawrence vet hospital and were extremely unimpressed with the treatment. We were recommended by several people to see staff at AHL, particularly dr. Heeb. It was our first puppy and were seeking out someone who was both experienced and nurturing. We have found that in Dr. Heeb and the other vets there, such as Dr. Cole who provided me with an abundance of information on our puppy Great Danes eyes today. Dr. Heeb has gone above and beyond for us with our puppies- my boyfriend and I wanted all the information possible at every visit and she always gave us that. I can't imagine a different vet for our girls. They love this hospital and so do we!!

I've not lived in Lawrence long, and I hadn't found a vet here yet. After calling 8 vets trying to get my cat in for an emergency, I was told to bring him right over. Dr. Bayouth was so kind, to me and Theo, and we are so grateful!

We've relied on AHoL since we moved to Lawrence a few years ago. Since then, they've cared for our dog and two cats, including emergencies, long-term cancer treatments, and end of life for the cats. We've seen all the vets, and found them all trustworthy, knowledgeable, and extremely caring. The staff, too, knows our pets by sight and by name and were very compassionate when the cats passed away. The other day, after our second cat died, the hospital made a donation in her name to a local animal welfare charity and sent a very thoughtful and sincere note to us. It meant more than we can say, and we are very appreciative of the vets' and staff's kindness and compassion. We could not recommend anyone more highly.

We love this place! You get the feeling that every person that works here is truly in the business of helping owners have healthy pets. We started coming here when we adopted our first dog about 3 years ago. We live in Johnson County and drive all the way to Lawrence just to get our dogs the very best care with the very best customer service. My dog is slightly over weight and we need to exercise him more and monitor his food. We also need to take better care of his oral health. The doctor educated me and never made me feel less than or that I was doing a bad job. I could be doing things better to ensure my dog is healthy, and I truly appreciated the time the doctor took to discuss these things with me. I look forward to our next appointment and working hard to help our Marley-boy loose a few lbs. ;)

We've used AHL for over a decade now for up to seven cats at a time and are very satisfied. We usually see Dr. Coles who we love, and on occasion Dr. Heeb and Dr. Bayouth. All three are outstanding in knowledge, advice, and compassion, including through end-of-life for two of our cats. They are also very responsive to scheduling urgent care visits. The office staff is also caring and friendly.
