The arts center has something for everyone, just about every day of the week. From classes on just about anything, to rotating exhibitions, the LAC is truly a gem of Lawrence. Get tickets for a show, you don't want to miss the performers here either!

Great classes available for every age group and in every category of artistic expression imaginable! There are even week-long day-camps for students while they are on break during the summer, so they can get out and do something fun!The theatre runs a whole slew of different programs, and it offers matinee and evening performances, which is convenient! And because it is an art center, we have to mention the gallery, which seems to always have something unique to share, made by local artists.I was most impressed with how detailed, efficient and comprehensive their website is for newcomers interested in exploring programs, but might not know how.

Loved taking my kids here for pre-school 25 years ago but tried to take a quilting class last year that was more of a platform to share teachers own political views/orientations and to explore yours while collaborating to complete a group project quilt assigning a square or two to each participant/student which best represents them. All i wanted to do is learn to quilt! Typical Lawrence libs.

Our daughter loves her art classes here. She has a lot of fun and is learning a lot of new skills. She really likes Ms. Katie.

It's a shame that this institution seems to have lost its way the last couple years as to the very meaning of art as a counterweight to the soulless bureaucracy, government lies, and corporate greed exemplified by their clinging to the useless and harmful mask policy and the segregationist and nonsensical Proof of "vaccine" policy that most places in the world have given up on, including the very tardy City of Lawrence due to the CDC and WHO finally admitting that the injection neither prevents infection nor does it stop transmission. One can only surmise that the reason for this is for the purpose of intense virtue signaling or an unusual urge to placate only the most fearful and paranoid people in the "art community". Given that there is no actual "science" to justify this segregationist policy, one can only hope the administration someday soon will come to their senses.

Wonderful art instruction in a wide array of fields. Best galleries and exhibits in LAWRENCE. And they have an arts-based preschool and kindergarten.
