KVC was my first experience with CrossFit. Herein lies the problem. I moved across the country and figured I would simply find myself another gym. Well, after sampling about all of the gyms my city has to offer (my city is bigger than Lawrence, mind you), I still haven’t found a gym anything like KVC. I used to think what really made KVC special was the amazing people, both coaches and members. I still do! But, now I realize how I had taken the training for granted. I have yet to find a gym that prioritizes the warm up, mobility, and education like KVC does. The coaches here are remarkably competent, extremely helpful, kind, and supportive. I was a multi-sport athlete for the majority of life, but I was in the BEST shape of my life here, and I only went 3-4 times a week. Everything about KVC just makes sense, and I have yet to find another box that even comes close to the standards (or the price!) that KVC has set. Miss you, KVC. I’ll be back……

I started at KVC in 11/20 and as a sedentary 28 year old I needed to sit in a box to be able to perform a squat. With the whole KVC crew help and encouragement I am much healthier mentally and physically now and can not only squat without a box but squat below parallel. I am also extra 3 cm tall by indirectly fixing my posture with all the flexibility and muscle gains that I obtained over time. KVC changed my life forever as I was never able to stick to any type of workout routine before. I realized that all I needed was some amazing accountability partners. For some reason the water from their fountain tastes amazing! Best water I ever tasted.
