“What's her wonderful stack in the morning, the young lady in the evening, she was okay, but she's seem to have had a slight little attitude.Surprisingly, they ran out of quarters to wash clothes in their laundry room for guests.Rooms were very clean, had no issue with the room.Pretty decent breakfast, hot and fresh”

“Very cute historic hotel that is haunted (very cool). Rooms are older and loud at night (52 db from AC at bed at night). So bring some ear plugs if that’s an issue. The catering at our event (hotel provided) was the best I’ve ever had. Overall a stellar experience.

Rooms: Ask for 506. It’s haunted.

Walkability: Stellar location.”

“I have spent over thousands of dollars in hotel stays in my day! This by far was the best experience I have had at a hotel in a long time. I had misplaced my ring and they gave me the most patience and best effort while I was on my search for it before I was able to find it. Cole was the best too. I hope this hotel stays open forever!!!!”

“This a perfect stop when we make our trips from Indianapolis to Denver. We unwind by taking our dogs on the nearby trails. The location is in a neighborhood adjacent to the Univ of Kansas tennis facility. Not your typical exit ramp chaos, but what we like. Breakfast buffet is great with yummy waffles!”

“Just arrived at the hotel and realized that I didn't have enough cash for the safety deposit. But, you know what? The front desk girl, Shalby, was such a sweetheart and went out of her way to assist me. She definitely deserves a five-star rating! ❤️”

“This hotel has a cool castle-like vibe. Room we had was HUGE- two king beds. Hotel faces the KU campus in a residential neighborhood. Two houses down are a few frat houses and college apartments. It is right there by the football stadium as well!”

“Rooms: Older but nice and clean. If front page of book is not interesting does not mean inside story is not interesting. Local business and we love that place all the time very friendly people.”

“The staff here is amazing. I have had a few corporate events here and the team handles everything flawlessly from planning to exit. The rooms are nice and they have a bar & grill inside of the hotel. A special thanks to Janet H. who is always kind and helpful with our events.”

“Great weekend stay. Queen room(double) was well equipped with towels, Toiletries (full size), mini fridge, hair dryer, full size mirror, iron and hangers (microwave and utensils available in the dining area). The entire room was clean and beds were comfortable with nice white crisp linens. Front dest staff was friendly both during daytime and late night. Room had a neat movable desk that was convenient. Very safe location near Lawrence Police Station, and great proximity to food chains and retail stores. Approx 15 min drive to Mass street.”

“This is a great motel. Some guest got loud a few times which could scare some kids but other then that. A+

Rooms: The rooms are great. Bedding had no stains which is rare most the time. The floor could use some clean water when mopped because it felt slippery as in maybe greasy.”

“I live out of town and got snowed in at work a few days ago so I decided to stay in a close hotel. When I got there they generously upgraded my room so I didn’t have to go back outside in the cold snowy weather. This truly meant so much after shoveling my car in -10 degree weather and not having a proper bag to carry my things with the impromptu stay. The rooms are slightly dated but honestly way cleaner than most hotel rooms I’ve had. Definitely worth the price/convenience!”

“The hotel is showing some progress. They are doing some remodeling of rooms especially with painting, flooring, keeping it cleaned and replacing sheets and bedding! The only concern would be the shower/bathtub and peeling of the ceiling in the bathroom, otherwise, they are putting some work in it looks like. Make sure the rooms are being cleaned before you leave, otherwise you will not get your deposit back. Most hotels and such are starting to ask for a deposit. Ranging between $50-100 plus payment for the room.Rooms: There are some improvements in the rooms, but need work in the bathtub and such.Food & drinks: You can keep food in the rooms and such, but make sure trash is being picked up here or you won't get your deposit back. Most hotels are starting to have people provide a deposit since rooms are not being taken care of.”
