I absolutely adore this store. The family who own it are so kind and it’s easy to see all of the effort they put into this space. I swear you can walk in, close your eyes, point in a random direction and find a fun and unique gift for friends, family, or yourself.They also are putting a lot of effort into making sure customers feel safe and valued during the pandemic and are scheduling appointments to shop. I had the whole space to myself during my time and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience!

Anytime we leave our small town of Emporia to go to Lawrence, Hobbs is a definite must stop. I've bought so many gifts there ( always find something for myself too) and the Owner of the business is helpful, friendly and this past weekend saved us from making a potentially bad dining choice. Do not buy anything from here unless you are certain you will keep it. I bought two items, one for me and one for my brother. Upon checking out I asked the clerk if I would be able to return them for any reason, and she said I can return them whenever. She failed to mention the return policy until I inevitably returned them after regretting my expensive purchase. She told me I can get store credit or make an exchange. Convenient that she told me just then. Frustrated, I had no choice but to recieve over $400 in store credit that I had no intention to use. Thanks for royally screwing me over.
