I really wish the sales associates had triple-checked the correct price of my item before and during the final purchase. I don't mind paying more for quality jewelry. But when the sales associate checks the back of the item and initially tells us one price and then quotes a different, higher price an hour later, without taking the time to change the sale sticker to reflect the new price before putting it back in the case, it leads to a disappointing and frustrating experience overall.I hope that other, future sales do not have the same mistake.

The in person customer service at Goldmakers is simply golden! There was only one place I was interested in getting my engagement ring and wedding band and I'm happy to say that it panned out even better than I had hoped. I was going for the unique and local jewelry options, but ended up with that, along with the best customer service in Larry. They were so kind, and I could tell they were genuinely happy for my partner and I. They were oh so patient, listening to my likes, and letting me repeatedly try multiple things on, while giving me their undivided attention. The wedding selection was such a big and important moment for me and they 100% recognized my emotions and basically wrapped me up in a big hug with their supportive assistance. I was so pleased that I returned to pick out a pair of earrings for my wedding day. I will continue to return here for all my jewelry shopping and repair needs. 10 out 10!

I visited this place for the first time in early December for a gift for my boyfriend. When I walked in I was greeted immediately and I let the lady know I was looking for solid 14k chains. She directed me to the gold plated and I again told her I wanted to look at the solid 14k chains. She showed me and I picked one out and purchased it. I gave it to my boyfriend for Christmas and he just wanted a longer chain. We went back and picked one out to be ordered, the same lady that sold us the original one said it would be about 1-2 weeks with the holidays. We waited about 4 weeks with no call. I finally called and a they told me they never ordered it, and that now it’s on back order until Jan 31st. We got a call on Tuesday that it was ready and went to pick it up yesterday. The same woman from all my previous interactions helped us. She was confused the entire time, had no idea what was going on. And when i asked her why there was a locket on the chain she said “oh you didn’t order that too? everything makes sense now” then proceeded to be confused for the next 5 min and was unable to do the basic math about the price difference between the original chain and the one i ordered without audibly expressing she was confused. I sternly expressed my concerns about the whole process of getting this chain, and she ignored my concerns and failed to apologize about HER mistake when she never ordered it in the first place. I am so incredibly disappointed with my service considering the price i paid for a luxury good. I will absolutely never be back and I will not be recommending them to anyone in the future.

Their jewelry appraiser is terrible. She grossly undervalued my ring for insurance purposes. I had to pay to get a second one, they aren’t cheap. She doesn’t seem qualified.

Recommended my brother to Goldmakers for his engagement ring. He lives in Washington, DC and communicated with Bernie remotely about the ring. The communication was thorough and stellar, there were frequent updates about the ring, the price was an amazing deal for the high quality craftsmanship, the ring was shipped from Lawrence, Kansas to Washington, DC and my sister-in-law loved the ring the moment she saw it. Couldn't recommend Goldmakers highly enough!

I’ve been shopping at Goldmakers since the the mid nineties and have to say it just keeps getting better. I truly appreciate that they will fix my vintage jewelry just a happily as they will sell me a new beautiful piece. I love that they source their metals ethically and that they use heirloom/ethical diamonds. Staff are always helpful when I come in and help me find the perfect piece.

Goldmakers recreated my engagement ring that I wrecked 12 years earlier. I hadn’t gotten it fixed because I didn’t have a jeweler I trusted. When I found Goldmakers, it became a must-shop on every trip to Lawrence and I got to know Bernadette and the store's long history. When I needed a gift for my mom -- an heirloom garnet pendant to match the one she had given me from her wedding ring (hers was stolen) -- Bernadette took the time to find a stone that matched exactly, at a price I felt good about. Eventually, I asked her to fix my engagement ring. We met with her and discussed the options. The setting was beyond repair (it was an old estate piece), but they were able to recreate it and replace one of the lost baguettes for what we felt was a reasonable amount. She explained everything thoroughly up front, and the ring was ready before the date she told me to expect it. I won't take my jewelry anywhere else. Not only is Goldmakers trustworthy and dedicated to quality, they have an incredible selection of jewelry that's very unique, especially in the midwest.
