Went to this store first bc SEOs pop it first on the list. This one is more for board games than TCG. The staff was incredible friendly and more talkative than the staff at other location. They were happy to answer any questions and were a delight to hang with compared to the other location whom seemed to steer away from conversation. Some people are just better at chatting but as a store front I hope they are getting paid more than the peeps at other location. Store is very clean and inviting. A little bit packed with product which made it a little rough for a person with adhd to look around without feeling overwhelmed but that’s a me issue lol

First time coming here, wanted to see what this store offered. Mainly varieties of dungeons and dragons, board games cards and pop figures. Store has a fair selection at pretty high prices. Staff was friendly as they let me peacefully browsed the store.

So today I went in to buy a Wii console expecting to pay about $200 for the set up and walked out with a very reasonable price! There was a slight mix up with my order but it was made right the moment it was brought to the owners attention! Great customer service and I will be a retuning customer!

It was awesome meeting the girl at the desk as she was able to explain lots of knowledge about the items in the store. This store has alot of interesting items there. They even have a huge comic section down in the basement. Love the building where it is placed at in Lawrence.

Went there yesterday saturday afternoon with the family. I approached the counter asking if they had a product and very quickly I was told they didn't. No biggie, but after browsing some more I came back to the counter and I noticed they had the product in stock that I was looking for in fairly clear view. I brought it up to the clerk's attention. While we were getting rang up, I inquired if they had a certain set of magic cards, to which the long haired, glasses wearing clerk stated, "what you see is what you get" in a rather annoyed tone of voice, that just was off-putting and rude. The inattentiveness and demeanor of the employee just did not make me feel welcome at all. It felt like he did not want to be there. This new location seems rather empty, especially in the back where it looks unfinished. It's almost like it's still trying to find it's identity. I love the location on Iowa. But the upstairs of the Massachusetts store needs a facelift. I'll be checking back often, optimistically hoping for a change in atmosphere and hoping for a reignition of employee passion towards what they do. If this is the best that they can do at this location, then maybe it's not a bad thing to call it a day.

I'm not a gamer, so this review is about the comic book shop in the basement. It is amazing. I stopped collecting comics about 30 years ago. When I started again, I went to Game Nut and was worried I'd be confronted by snobby, fan-culture gatekeepers. Not at all. Everyone there is knowledgeable and nice. Rather than gatekeepers, they were welcoming and seemed excited that we had a common interest. When I told one of the staff that I was back into collecting again, he said, “welcome back, we missed you.” For a 50-year-old man who has rediscovered his love of the artform, this is my shop from now on.

Today was my first time visiting this store, I've never seen such an amazing place! I wish we had something like this up in Massachusetts! I was blown away by the selection of games and other things!

While the place is pretty cool, I was disappointed to see that they were price gouging the Charizard Ultra Premium set by $80.They guy working the counter tried to assure me everywhere was out of stock and $200 was well worth it.A week after launch and I was still able to purchase from GameStop for the MSRP of $119.99 without any issue.

I’ve been coming to Game Nut for the last 7 years. This place is amazing. They have figurines, comics, puzzles, gundams, and other fun stuff. I’ve had a pull tab here for a while now, and they always keep up-to-date with them. I haven’t found a comic shop like Game Nut, which is why I drive up from Topeka just to visit the shop. Max and Aura are some great guys that give out amazing customer service. Game Nut is a gem in Lawrence and you can’t go wrong with stopping by here!

Great selection of all your gaming needs and collectibles. The sales person at the counter was very helpful and knew the product very well. Pricing is pretty decent for stores of the type. They also have a lot of retro video games for sale. Very worthwhile to check out.

First time visiting this store and my first time visiting a comic shop! Very friendly staff there that made me feel welcome. If you have only bought comics online I highly recommend buying them through these guys, you save a ton

The game nut on Massachusetts has a employee who has long hair and glasses who is very rude. His job is mainly customer service. I’m not going back you can keep my 3 dollar credit. I purposely have very little interaction with him and he still finds a way to make it unpleasant.
