I just had the best experience at Footprints! The amazing staff member helped me talk through all my concerns and answered all my questions I had about the footbeds and uppers! There’s so much variety and they gave me such good advice and helped me pick the perfect pair for what I need! It was such an easy shopping experience, I will definitely be back! Thank you!P.S. I purchased the classic footbed Arizona’s with the tobacco oiled leather upper!

I bought my first pair of Birkenstocks here. I have been a customer for 26 years. I had the fix my sandals this year rather than buy a new pair (which I went in there to do) because they said that they could replace the cork and rubber sole while reusing the suede upper. I picked them up a week later and when I got home I tried them on. The left one was much looser than the right. When I looked, you could see that there was a noticeable difference in the upper strap height. I reached out and a young lady told me to come in to have them looked at and fixed so I drove over an hour from work one afternoon to do so. Mick looked at them, saw the difference and said that it wasn’t worth the time it would take to fix them correctly. He said just snug the left one up a bit more. When I showed him that if I did that, I would be on the last hole on the lower strap and there would be no way to tighten them further as they broke in. I asked again if he could please just correct the issue since I had them repaired vs buying new ones based on a conversation with him. He looked at them, grabbed a hole punch, and put two more holes in the lower straps and handed them back to me and said “here you go”. Why act that way? If fixing them correctly was an issue, sell me a new pair. Maybe he was having a bad day, not really sure. But that’s not a great way to treat people.

Such a cool shop with great selection of Birkenstocks. We drove from the east side of the KC metro to Lawrence with hopes of having my daughters birkenstock sandals repaired/refurbished. The staff was outstanding, going the extra mile when they learned the sandals were sentimental. Her sandals turned out fantastic and can live another life. We've since bought additional sandals from Footprints and they are the only place we'll ever buy Birkenstocks!

Okay cutest store ever! I am not a birkenstock fan per se, but my bfs mom loves this store so we went shopping w her. IT IS SO UNIQUE! The art in here is just incredible and I wish I took photos of the bathroom. Whether or not you like birks, you should definitely stop by this store!

Top customer service. This is 99% of my shoes are Birkenstock. Most comfortable for my feet. This store has a great selection and if they don't have it, they will order...they ordered mine today.

Great experience,Very nice atmosphere inside it was clean and Zen.The level of help offered for someone walking in knowing nothing about Birkenstocks was amazing.They were very patient as I had a lot of questions and was unsure.They took their time and I left with my first pair.I would definitely recommend coming inside and figuring out the correct option rather than guessing online.This is one of those things that it is better to see and feel in person.

the people here are super nice and helpful. i very highly recommend. in addition to birkenstocks, they carry a line of handmade leather bags - backpacks, satchels, totes - that looked really cool. overall, definitely worth the drive from kc or topeka, etc.

Our favorite shoe store as absolutely lots of BIRKS & a good selection of other great brands of shoes. Sales are worth driving from Overland Park too.

Great customer service and excellent communication. I been looking for a pair of gray London Birkenstocks for a long time. This was the only store that had them in stock , and they were on sale. This store is awesome.

They couldn't fix my first pair of sandals even though they said they would have my info on file. Went over with my ole sandals and was told they couldnt repair. Bought my second sandals here but couldn't get anyone in the store to assist me the first time, she was too busy helping the white folks. I went there to try and buy them. Went another day and finally got help...worker lied about how they NEVER have their Birkenstock sandals on sale so bought the second overpriced pair. Less then a month later they had a sale on them. Never helpful and bad record keeping lost me my ability to get the ? guarantee on my first pair repair. Now my second pair suck and never stop smelling regardless of how many times I've cleaned them. Don't waste your time and money!!

One of the great retail stores in the city, worthy of making a destination from Kansas City, Topeka and beyond I'd say. And while a visit in person is a real must that's not to be missed, most are surprised to learn they ship products all over the U.S. In addition to Birkenstocks, which is what put them on the map, they also deal in Dansko, Haflinger and Chaco products. I brought a new family member from Canada in for his first pair of "Birks" and he was utterly thrilled with the experience. In spite of being told there'd be a break-in period, he barely was seen without them before heading back home. And yes, he wore them on the plane. As a long-time but infrequent customer because their products last, always happy to spread the word about the good work doing here.
