It stunk the rooms smelled musty.. First room was awful. We asked to switch rooms and second room was bad as well. In general had a dirty feeling No real adminitys in the room shower had empty shampoo and conditioner bottles and no bodywash. The shower did not drain well at all. At the end of the shower you were ankel deep in water. The breakfast was pretty good I did enjoy the fruit selection and the omelet. The pool and hot tub were nice also. Would not recommend even with the two positives.

The staff here is amazing. I have had a few corporate events here and the team handles everything flawlessly from planning to exit. The rooms are nice and they have a bar & grill inside of the hotel. A special thanks to Janet H. who is always kind and helpful with our events.

Room smelled musty. Shower drained very slow, so you stood in an inch of water while showering. They don’t provide individual shampoo, just large pump bottles in shower. Ours had one bottle, conditioner. It was empty. We informed the desk, they said someone would put shampoo in that day. Got back that night, still no shampoo, still not draining. We stayed 4 nights. Never again. It’s too bad, this looked like it could be a nice hotel

We have had good experiences in the past here so we chose to stay here again. The room provided immediately had a dank smell and was extremely humid upon entering. I called down to report this but the phone did not work.
We walked down to the front desk and explain the situation as well as the unusual smell/humidity of the floor. We learned that there was a recent incident with the fire sprinklers. She fortunately upgraded us to a different room.
This room was better. It was clean.
When we returned to our room at night, I tried to make eye contact and say hello to the person working at the desk, but she avoided eye contact. From a security perspective it would be helpful if the desk attendant at least looked at the people who walked in the door, especially as there was no other guests anywhere around.
Reaching our room, we turned on the air conditioning before bed and realized that this accentuated the humidity and the smell of the room. The bed was one of the softest bed I’ve ever slept on, so soft that we woke with sore shoulders, back and neck.
i hope the quality improves at this location.

The reviews on the place actually scared me. I'm a review person. My husband had booked the room. We had an easy check in process via phone no need to stop at the front desk and got to pick our own room. We chose room 409 as it was facing the indoor pool and the top floor. Walking into the room was very humid and stagnant the AC was on Low at 69° but the humidity in that room was unbearable. I looked around for cleanliness and pest residue and the room was pretty immaculate. Everything was very clean. No issues with cleanliness the housekeeping did a good job. Everything worked as should the plug in outlets, coffee pot etc. The Lotion bottle was empty but the shower ones were full. The bed and the carpet felt moist. I don't think they were though I think it was the humidity in that room. I don't know if it's because it's facing the swimming pool and they didn't have the roof fans open or what but The only negative thing I can say about this room is the stagnant humidity It almost needs a dehumidifier in here. The breakfast buffet was absolutely wonderful. I got a made to order omelette which was cooked to perfection, The potatoes were crispy just how I like them, The oatmeal was nice and fluffy, the French toast was pretty good, My husband said the fruit tasted nice ,fresh and sweet. We have zero complaints about breakfast It was probably one of the better ones we've had in a while. I also like the fact that they offer sugar-free syrups and jams. Like I said the only negative thing is the humidity in the room I don't know if it's a HAVOC problem or what maybe needs to be checked but I would definitely stay here again. * And another suggestion the safe should be mounted to the cabinet it was just loose in there I could pick it up and take it out. ??

Don’t come here if you plan on using the pool. It’s routinely closed and management doesn’t seem too interested in getting it in working order. I saw their “pool guy” literally throw bleach in the pool without even testing it. However, they said it was closed “due to a chemical imbalance out of our control”. Ok… The restaurant/bar inside the hotel was also closed (on a Saturday night). The rooms are ok but the beds were old and had worn out spots. Management is letting this place go which is sad. We used to enjoy coming here for a local staycation but until things are improved I’m not giving them any of my money and won’t be referring people here either. It’s not that hard to hire a qualified pool service company Double Tree…

The room was really clean. The staff member was extremely humble and friendly. They greeted me with a warm super delicious cookie. However, I missed having coffee in the room as it was out of stock. Despite that, I will definitely stay here again when I return to Lawrence.

Room was standard, Comfy but no microwaves, Very inconvenient for people like myself that walk with a cane, Had to go to Lobby for everything, Only 2 creamers and 2 cups for coffee, Unlike other hotels they do not provide coffee in the lobby, The elevator is in a difficult spot to trample back and forth to the lobby to heat a meal up, Or ask for more coffee or creamers, Everything in the pantry is out not much there, The TV has apps which is nice but where is regualar cable, Not much choice there, Sure you get to watch what you want but searching for regular things to watch is lacking, im stuck 2 days because my trucks APU broke and nothing for people with trouble walking, The grill dont open till 5pm and with pantry out and no microwave in room, Life can be difficult. The comfort inn across the street has better. And breakfast at almost everywhere I travel serves 6-9 not at this hotel, Not even coffee, Not until 7..This hotel has issues
Walkability: Extremely hard for disabled or elderly people

I was upgraded at the front desk when I arrived which is part of my Diamond Status which was good. Very nice spacious room. When I went to bed, I woke up in the middle of the night itching really bad. I turned on the lights and the flash light on my phone and saw bugs on the pillows. I have welts on both arms and my forehead now, which I didn't have before getting in the bed. Room had a slight mildew oder as well.

DIRTY! This location is old and run down- if you want cleanliness this is not the place for you. The first room we experienced was moldy and damp smelling. It was unbearable. We moved to another room and we were provided with “free” breakfast- however we are diamond members and always have a free breakfast. The breakfast was disgusting- I would say you’re better off saving your money on that! The new room wasn’t any better -still had a musty smell and when trying to take a shower or brush teeth the drains were clogged. Again the only thing the hotel offered was another free breakfast- no thanks! We immediately hanged hotels! The only thing Hilton would do for long term customers was “see” what they could do and submit feedback- poor service all the way around! Wish u would have taken more photos but I was really just ready to go!

This was such a welcome site after our long car ride. They had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel was clean. The room was comfortable. The breakfast had many options and was delicious.

Meh. Dated hotel in need of refurbishment. Room was musty and damp. Yuk. Some side doors did not open with hotel key. Seemed clean. But. Just not kept up. Staff was friendly enough. There are only 2 hotels in this depressed town. Therefore the charges were high for the facility. Paid $200 for a Sat night in this lackluster hotel. I see weeknight prices under $100. It’s a shame Hilton is ignoring this hotel.
