We bought a 4 Runner from Van a few months ago. The process of actually buying the vehicle was quick and painless. Since then, it has been awful. Maintenance work that their mechanic did right before we bought the car was faulty and unsafe. We have had to spend a couple thousand fixing things that a capable mechanic could have easily fixed correctly the 1st time. We have contacted this dealership several times to try to make it right (not even asking they cover ALL, just SOMETHING). This review is a result of the attitude of the employees after they "made the sale" and lack of basic mechanical knowledge of the vehicles they sell. I would NEVER work with this group again. Our current, trustworthy mechanics were appalled at what these people let drive off the lot.

Nicolas was super easy to work with and even gave me a ride to the dealership in his own personal vehicle which I think was amazing! Can't find better service than that, it was so easy to do paperwork half online and then just a few signatures in person. Great experience overall with going over car features too :)

There are few activities in life that I absolutely do not like doing - changing phone carriers and buying cars. As far as I know, Crown can't help you with your phone service, BUT if you want a truly great experience buying/selling a car (new or used), ask for Mike. Hands down, Mike made this process very simple for us. He didn't talk down to my wife (happens ALOT with females in general). He didn't try to sell us on his agenda, was very personable, interactive and get this - followed up with information shortly after being asked. We live in Topeka and had only taken our van to Crown because of their service. After this experience of now buying a car from Mike, going forward, I am positive this is the only place we will be buying our cars as well.

When I called to schedule they said their next available appointment was on Wednesday and never told me a date. I went in on Wednesday and they said my appointment was actually 2 weeks out. It was a waste of my time.

I purchased a 2022 rav4 hybrid a couple weeks ago from Crown and it was overall a good experience. They did no ridiculous market adjustments or overpriced dealer addons despite what seems to be the norm these days. The price was MSRP plus doc fees with the only catch being I had to finance with them. The sales office was very open and it never felt they were trying to nickel and dime me. I had done a great deal of research before going into the finance office and I highly recommend anyone financing a car to do the same. That being said, Crown's F&I office was very open about prices and were not pushy at all with packages, warranties, etc. Overall, I would definitely recommend Crown if you’re looking for a new car any time soon.

I had a lot of trouble finding the car I wanted after some bad experiences with my local VW dealership, which caused me to reach out to Crown VW. These guys were very upfront and honest throughout the entire process, including times when they could have applied some leverage but stuck by their word. Well worth the 2-hour drive to deal with these guys!

I got lucky and they had a car that I wanted in transit. Van was great to work with, communicated delivery, and made sure that everything was set up before I left. They also took “no” for an answer on the upsells, and didn’t add any “market adjustments” to the price.

I wanted to write a great review for a business and employee that deserves a great review! We just purchased a 5 year old Toyota Highlander at Crown Toyota in Lawrence. We live in KC, but with the service we received at Crown, we would definitely buy there again. Van Thompson was so easy and professional to work with, responding promptly to all our questions. He made the typically dreaded process of purchasing a car and absolute breeze! Thank you Crown, and thank you Van, we love our Highlander!
