Went in to buy wine and was denied, when I asked if my driver's license was expired she told me no and said it was clearly a fake ID and tried to use the light to "prove" it was fake. When she saw she wasn't proving it was fake she just said "I just can't serve with a fake ID". I'm literally almost 23, employees should be better trained to look at out of state licenses because I have never been denied anywhere.

I find certain wines here that I can't get anywhere else in the entire city. Decent value and variety. Stacey is very knowledgeable. Coming from the Twin Cities and Chicago wine scene, I am glad I visited after lamenting the lack of options in Topeka with a Dallas-based somm.

Large selection, friendly staff, easy to navigate, lots of parking out front, and if you're unsure of what you're looking for the staff is more than willing to help.

Cork and Barrel has the best selection of wine and spirits, and their customer service is excellent. Highly recommend you visit their store and see for yourself. Locally owned and they give back to their community.

Best liquor store in town. Great beer and wine selection. Feels safe and clean and staff is always super friendly. I noticed last time it seems like they even have a small event space inside!

Cork and Barrel is amazing! They have excellent customer service and are very knowledgeable about wine and spirits. They also have a beautiful tasting room and host events regularly! I highly recommend that you visit this locally owned business.

I was visiting from out of town and went to get a bottle of wine that a friend wanted. I don't drink so never go to liquor stores any more. When I walked in, HOLY COW!!! They make a LOT of booze now days!! I knew I'd never find what my friend wanted so asked a cashier if they could help. They were so friendly about it!! Got right up and took me themselves right to where the kind was my friend wanted ❤. That's great service!!

Back in Lawrence visiting family, check out C&B and was shocked they had Hamilton, WorthyPark Rum and Four Square Rum, amazing selection and somewhat friendly/helpful staff.

tldr; false advertising, poor customer service. will not admit fault or attempt to remedy their pricing errors.Bought some rum that had a couple signs underneath it listing the brand/ml that was on sale and the new price. Got home and the rum was disgusting (my fault).Next day I’m looking through my bank app and I see I overcharged $3 and the “normal” price. Now personally this amount of money isn’t important but the principle is. I figure it’s not a big enough deal to make a trip just to ask for my money back, so within the week of purchasing I return.I grab the wine my girlfriend and I like and explain the issue to the cashier. I’m really talking to two cashiers for some reason and first i’m told “if you had a receipt” which I then produce. Secondly I’m told it’s past the sale date by cashier A and cashier B asks “were the signs still up”? clearly asking Cashier A who seems upset and glared at Cashier B as they’re seemingly siding with the customer. I say absolutely they were. I’ve never heard of this rum only got it because it was on sale. cashier A then lastly explains “because you didn’t bring it in the same day for a refund we can’t do anything”I’ve probably spent $1,000 in this place over the course of several years. Really makes one wonder how many times they have just accidentally left signs up past the sale date in the system..

Was lucky to visit in a day when they had Weller bourbon. On the shelf. At MSRP! The stars aligned. I also got another really good bourbon on sale. Staff was super nice. Great selection - try it if you haven't!!
