I came in to convert euros back to usd on Monday and was told it be on my account within 48 hours. It has been over 48 hours and commerce customer support said that the transaction isn't even processing on my account . I have been trying to call this branch for over an hour and they will not pick up, and I cannot wait for my money until Friday since it is a holiday tomorrow.

I was recently the victim of fraud with my Commerce debit card. Somehow my Discover credit card was also involved. Some of the issues could be taken care of over the phone (it was the weekend when this happened), but others could not. I wasn't satisfied with the customer service I received from the Commerce representatives on the phone so I went to this branch because the manager, Christian, has been very helpful in the past. He spent over an hour and a half trying to help me untangle the mess caused by these fraudsters. He was patient as I explained my story and asked good questions for better understanding. When I left the branch I felt confident that the issue was resolved. Christian even sent an email later that day to follow up. When it turned out that two days later I was still locked out of my online banking, and I once again received poor customer service by calling the Commerce help line, I returned to this branch and Marilyn, assistant branch manager, was able to help with another issue. That still didn't resolve the issue so I had to return to the bank and this time Christian was able to finally resolve the issue. While I am generally not satisfied with the customer service when I call the help lines at Commerce, I am 100% satisfied with the managers at this branch. Five stars (and more) to my local branch managers. They know how to do customer service right.

Beware, this bank will NOT consider your situation/need. Long story short, we needed them for help because we live far away from the bank, but they would rather stick to some old, inefficient, and time-consuming rules instead of many more valid and faster alternatives, in the name of “being cautious.” It’s great to be cautious and we appreciate it, but when you insist on the ineffective old ways instead of working with your customers, totally dismissed our suggestions of way more solid options, you’re simply, purposely making our lives hard and pushing people away. What's absolutely outrageous is when we pointed out that things have changed due to the pandemic, that my wife has an underlying condition, their response was “it’s been this way since before the pandemic,” disregarded our possible underlying medical condition. What kind of logic is that? We’ve been with this bank for 20 years, and though in the beginning they more than once messed up my account (showing wrong numbers on my account and credit card), when we moved to another state we eventually chose to stick with them. Now this is what we get. Avoid this bank is what I’ll strongly suggest.

We are always greeted promptly whether in the "drive through" line or in the lobby. The facility is clean, nicely landscaped (giving us confidence in the business!) and our financial needs are efficiently met either on-line or in person. Associates are courteous and professional. A good choice for banking in Lawrence!

Don't trust these crooks. They will embezzle your stimulus checks before you receive it. All they do is put everyone's money in a brokerage account and steal your dividends.
