Have been with the Wakarusa and 6th St branch for 8 years. Really was happy with People’s Bank, felt there was a real personal relationship with a bank. My relationship with them started with needing a mortgage and jumbo loan on our dream home that other banks were not willing to fund due to our atypical circumstances. The transition to Bank Midwest was easy for us, no complaints. We just moved to the west coast in June and Bank Midwest was pivotal in selling our home and purchasing our new home using a bridge loan. Thank you David Bennett and Brian Hatfield for making the bridge loan so smooth and convenient in our situation. When I was closing my accounts I had a sizable amount to me to transfer that I was worried about and Brian Hatfield made this transition smooth and easy. I would recommend this bank to anyone, especially if you get to work with Brian or David, they are both very professional, quick to respond, and personal in their approach. Thank you Bank of Midwest!

I banked with Peoples for years. Bank Midwest's takeover was undoubtedly good for the owners of Peoples, but not for their customers.A fee for everything.The last straw: I finally went to a local credit union, a much friendlier and helpful financial institution when Bank Midwest refused to notarize my wife's durable power of attorney for health care (the one suggested by the hospital) as we were headed to the hospital for surgery.

Their lack of concern for their customers during this pandemic. Their neglect of letting their customers know the repercussions that could and will take place in the form of many, many, overdrafts that may be incurred as a result of one overdraft. Their arrogance and rudeness and discrimination concerning their preferences concerning who they will assist in an effort to get their clients back on track. they just do not care. they can and will tack on additional charges to the extent that they take entire paychecks plus part of their stimulus money too, despite the hardships created by the Covid 19 epidemic. You would think as a gesture of compassion during these trying times by not making an already disastrous situation a 100 times worse. But no, ultimately this bank is not about helping it's clients. They are just helping themselves.

Terrible experience. The man who helped me made me uncomfortable and they charged me a penalty fee for closing my account and it's absurd. They also did not tell me about the hidden fees in any of this

My favorite bank I’ve ever had. Even theough the transition from Peoples to Bank Midwest, they retained staff and consistently hire great staff. It just has a small town, familiar feel to it. I just visited with Miss Zuk, the manager today. Had a nice visit; listened, didn’t rush me off the phone like I was a bother. Banks aren’t my favorite thing, and the mega banks have gotten really bad. This bank; it’s good.
