My elderly parents went here today at the Kasold location to return a Ace lavatory handle, new in the box. They were told they couldn't without a receipt. My dad was wearing his Vietnam veteran hat and shops here every week supporting the store, and they wouldn't do an immaterial $14 return for him. Shameful. Please value your Veterans and the honest people out there.

They sell products that are defective right out of the box, then refuse returns. Literally came back to the store 15 minutes after purchase because the mower wasn't starting and they refused to refund it because there was gas in it. Like you can tell if a mower will start or not before you put gas in.

A big Ace Hardware store with knowledgeable staff and good inventory. It's the go to place in Lawrence now that there are no independent, local stores left. Depending on the item, they are sometimes less expensive than the big box stores like Home Depot.

I normally shop at this store, however, today was very disappointing. I came in the store around 10:30am and 3 employees were standing up front with one female talking loudly about customers returns on stain or paint. So not necessary to have these conversations EVER in front of other customers. Unfortunately I had an issue and returned to the store. When I walked in a female at checkout made the comment "She's back". I felt that I was another customer they had been complaining about. I am not sure I will shop at this store again. The attitude is all wrong and unfortunately displayed by several.

If I come to your store to purchase a flower pot, it's because I have a pretty plant I want to put in it. Problem is you put those ugly bar code stickers on it and they don't just pull right off. On the bottom you marked with magic marker the price and the number to put in to ring it up. So now I have not so pretty pots because when I tried to pick it off it just came off in pieces and I couldn't get it all off so I tried another pot and I tried to wet it first and that wasn't good either. Wish I could leave a picture. I won't be buying any more pots from you. I don't have time to waste 30 minutes trying to get a sticker off. I already won't buy any plants because they are infested with bugs. Come on people have some pride in the things you sell and think about where your placing a sticker that won't come off. If you want it on the pot then you should use the stickers that peel off easy. Pretty dumb to spend time placing stickers if your going to write on the bottom any ways. Disappointed.

When does asking for donations cross the line of harassment? I understand asking for donations for Childrens Miracle Network is acceptable, but is it your obligation to harass people for donations? I stated that I would like NOT to donate my money, instead of your employee accepting my first response of NO. She asks for the 2nd time and tried to force guilt on me? "It's just change" Yes it is... It's my change!!! She didn't greet me or ask if i found everything i needed but asked for more money before I even paid for my items. Thank you for making me Feel absolutely UNCOMFORTABLE as a shopper.
