This place is absolutey AmaiZing from A to Z! We originally booked this place through AirBNB for our drive from South Texas back to Minnesota. Isinglass was our second layover. It was a wonderful expierience from our first steps inside the tasting room until we left.We were greeted by our hosts within a minute or 2 of stepping in the tasting room. They were so gracious to us and accomidating. The owners where there watching the football game along with their parents. There was also another couple there to watch the game and have some wonderful wine.We purchased from the food truck a wonderful cheese tray and a very tasty flat bread. My wife had a really nice wine flight and I was happy to see they had some bottled beer. Both owners were very nice and spoke with us about the winery and what they do on the farm. They told us about 3 little pigs that were recently born. The stories they had were facinating and very nice. When we completed our meal, Destiny escorted us out to one of the wagons that we would be staying in for the night. Truth be told, I was really sceptical about staying in a wagon with a cloth top. I thought it would be cold at night. The photos online make it look a little smaller than what it really is. We had plenty of room to walk around and make ourselves comfortable. I was wrong. These wagons are well built and so warm. The bed was extreemly comfortable. We both had our best nights sleep in 4 days here.At night we even heard some coyotes howling. With the cloth top we thought they were fairly close. We still felt very secure and fell asleep to their howl.In the morning the water for the shower was nice and hot. They had coffee available along with having 2 HUGE blueberry muffins, milk and orange juice. On our way out the sheep and pigs greeted us. We had to stop and give them a pet before leaving.Thank you all for such a wonderful expierience. We will definitaly save this place for future trips. We have also told friends about it as well.Thank you for being the best hosts!!!!!!

My wife and I were looking for a place to spend New Year's Eve with our infant daughter, brother-in-law, his wife, and two small children. We live in the middle of Kansas City and wanted to find a place quiet and out of the way, where we wouldn't have to worry about noise from our children or from neighbors. Searching Airbnb for cottages/wineries we came across this place. Boy, we're glad we did!If you're looking for what we were, it really doesn't get much better than the Cottage at Isinglass. It's spacious and nice! We were impressed with how well the whole place was put together, and still the owner told us they were in the middle of upgrading it even further. It has an awesome deck with a fire pit, and a personal, small lake you can fish and swim in (although it wasn't the time of year for us to do that.)On top of this, they have a tasting room at the winery about a quarter-mile from the cottage. It was perfect to be able to get out of the house and get a couple of drinks, while the kids could eat, see the animals and play. It was extremely kid friendly. The tasting room is huge and we never had a problem getting sat. The food and drinks were delicious and exactly what we were looking for. We'll be back, especially because it's such an easy drive from the middle of the city. If you want seclusion, plus the ability to take a short drive to appreciate a nice winery, do yourself a favor and book this place. By the way, call them directly before booking with a third-party. You'll be glad you did.

My husband and I stayed in one of their covered wagons for a “glamping” experience. It was lovely, quiet, and relaxing. Temp control inside the wagon was great, we brought our own meals to cook on the outdoor grill, spent a lot of time relaxing at our outdoor kitchen table and fire pit under visible stars you can’t see in the city, and we roamed the family’s vineyard land petting horses, sheep, pigs, dogs, and goats. We watched the chiefs game in their winery restaurant while eating and sipping a variety of alcoholic flights. Next time we are gonna do the horse riding! Lovely location within an hour drive of so many in KS and MO for a quick nature get-away to re-charge!

My wife and I had a weekend away after 15 years of being married. The owners are Yale alumni, but they run the business like every visitor is family! The treatment from staff is so rare. If you know the family history, you would know that hard work and love has been part of this history for a while. We went on a horseback ride, and it was beautiful!! They truly care about their staff and animals!

This place is absolutely amazing! We also stayed at one of their wagons over night. It is very close to the city and yet feels private and isolated, which is perfect for a weekend getaway. This property has a lot to offer and the owners take a great care of it and their guests. During our stay we did some wine tasting, walked through the winery, played games and saw little piglets at their petting zoo. Oh, and watching the sunset here was breathtaking! I would rate this experience 10/10!

The tasting room has $7 tastings but that's just the beginning of what you can experience here! Hospitality is Premium! The owners are on site and so kind as is Destiny the Estate Manager and Chloe the Stable Manager! I highly recommend a trail ride through the vineyard and estate! It's gorgeous here! I stayed in a very well appointed covered wagon! So fun!

We stayed in the wagon for a night and had an amazing time! The wagon comes with a small bathroom, air-conditioning and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! Right outside is a cooking station with everything that you would need to make a meal provided for you and a fireplace that was perfect for s’mores. We did some wine tasting, played cornhole, went down to the lake and saw the baby pigs and goats! Overall a great experience and a relaxing weekend away from the city which was exactly what we were looking for

This a great winery. The wine is delicious. I tried their sweet wines. They also offer horseback riding, cover wagon rides, kids can pet some of the animals, and stays in cover wagons and cottages. They have a nice indoor and outdoor tasting area. The winery is in process finishing a very large tasting building. The owners and staff are very nice. For food, I had the pretzel with beer cheese dip and the Margherita flat bread pizza and both were yummy. You won't be disappointed with this winery.
