“Great shop. Feels almost like a real store not a thrift store. Everything is clean and good condition, dressing rooms, arrangements. I've seen a few complaints about the prices. They sell designer brands in good condition. They sell regular brands in good condition. I buy Skechers here all the time. Might take a few trips to get a pair my size. If you need to save money on clothing, shoes, purses out the ying yang, furnishing and accents, save while getting really decent stuff. Scarves. Jackets. The prices are low but it isn't trashy stuff so it's not dirt cheap. Also, you get a card punched for discounts on future purchases. 10 bucks for a pair of really cool looking jeans is not too expensive. Every purse I own is from this store, and most of my shoes. I dress up good, lol”

“An absolute gem in KC. Th ladies that run this business are incredible, and the prices are better than any goodwill/redracks/Salvation Army. So glad this little spot exists.”

“truly the best thrift store in greater KC area. other local thrift shops, even other church run thrift shops, it’s almost as if they forget that the people who benefit most from 2nd hand shops are underprivileged families who can’t afford brand new everything. this place gets it right. such fair prices. even their boutique section, is fair and affordable. giving a safe space for families, especially middles class and families below the poverty line, to shop in dignity. to receive affordable, quality pieces. i truly had pretty much given up hope at thrift stores, it gotten to the point where it was significantly cheaper to just buy new at places like target at tj maxx, but turnstyles restored my faith. seriously, this is how real charities who genuinely care about helping their local community should always be. other thrift stores; local, and chains, charge $12+ for a old stained chiefs shirt, simply because it’s chiefs. here, almost all clothes with the exception of a few “boutique” pieces are all marked the same price. every t-shirt is the same price ($2.99), every pair of leggings, same, every jacket, same etc. absolutely no price gouging. i know it sounds silly, but it almost made me emotional that i was able to basically get everything i wanted without having to get out a calculator and narrow it down to 2 or 3 pieces. thank you for providing a clean, and organized space where everyone can afford to shop. you truly are giving back to your community, and are the definition of charity.”

“I've been to Annie's a few times to buy and sell have never had a problem with customer service or not getting products returned back if not bought I think Annie and her staff are great and will continue to buy and sell and refer others to her.”

“This place has a great selection, the prices are a bit high for a salvation army but you can find some reasonably priced items. The staff is nice, this place is organized and clean for the most part. No dressing room or public bathroom. The staff is nice and willing to help if you ask.”

“The staff at this location is absolutely incredible. Every single person that works there always has a smile on their face and is always happy to greet you. I lost my phone today and had it not been for such an attentive staff and the idea to turn off the overhead music, I wouldn't have found my phone and I'm so grateful and thankful. Even the shoppers there stopped to help me.”

“Love Turn Styles! We go there a lot now. Their prices are very good. We’ve purchased some furniture and lamps and clothes and shoes. I took my daughter there and she even found a set of golf clubs she wanted! Now she takes her daughter there. Great place to shop.”

“DAV Chapter #2 is among the best veterans service organizations in Kansas City. Because of this, my slightly used donations are usually delivered here.

Additionally, Red Racks has had a very long history at this location. Their displays are exceptional. However, like most businesses, some staff are friendly, and others definitely should not work with the general public, especially veterans!

Overall it's a very cool place for reasonable purchases or simply a walk-through. And, hopefully, you won't encounter any rude staff.”

“I like Plato's closet first went in with daughter who turned me on to it... I had a field day, they have lots of nice stuff that's name brand for a good price. Wish the one that used to be on Johnson Dr in JO wouldn't of moved to 135 because that one doesn't have a large selection...”

“My favorite goodwill store to shop at and this weekend had GREAT deals! Store looks organized and clean! The new manager (younger gentleman) was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind! He helped answer all my questions and was super nice to his employee who had questions while ringing me up! Love the selection and prices! Sunday funday thrifting! You can’t go wrong shopping here!”

“I had a great experience at this Goodwill. I brought in a carload of donations on the coldest day. A boy named Santiago came right out. He loaded my donations into the basket -heavy ones first- and was very careful with the breakables, which he put on top. All the while, he worked quickly with a positive attitude. Integrity like that is hard to come by. I will return with more donations and business!”

“Changed my life for the better. Made me look more at myself and God and what I can control and react. Would have gave it 5 Starz but I went when the pandemic hit and they suspended visitation/ escape. They had to take us for supervised walks.”

“Ideal treasure hunting! Wear gloves, grab a bag of you can't get a cart, and be SO careful in the glass area because 90% of things are broken there. Employees are always really nice and polite and Ill spend hours searching and discovering some neat things I didn't even realize I needed in my life.”

“I absolutely enjoy visiting this Salvation Army store! It features an impressively large women's clothing section, making it a treasure trove for anyone looking for stylish and affordable options. What truly makes each visit special is the friendly atmosphere created by the staff. In particular, Rebecca, the cashier, stands out as an exceptional employee. She is always incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel valued as a customer. It’s clear that the Salvation Army is fortunate to have someone like her on their team, as she consistently goes above and beyond to enhance the shopping experience.”

“Stopped in to grab a quick last minute outfit and was presently surprised to find a couple dresses and a purse for under $30. Thank you to J, who was very polite and accommodating for me.”

“It was a great experience! They had a doll worth maybe 20 dollars on display where you had to ask for assistance to look at while they had overpriced knick knacks marked as vintage scattered about. Yet I found a 2004 Fairytopia Barbie worth about 200 dollars for 12 dollars hidden just with the regular toys. I struck gold at this place.
Loved it!! Thanks!!!!”
