I have been a loyal Silva's Tortilla chips fan for a long time, but my recent purchase was incredibly disappointing. I've always told friends they have the best flavor of all the retail tortilla chips out there (think I've tried them ALL!). I also appreciate the lightly salted chips because some brands of Tortilla chips are overly salty. I purchased a bag last Friday and when I opened it at home later that evening, I was met by an unpleasant smell which I unfortunately recognized. If you've ever kept peanut butter or cooking oil too long in a cabinet, it goes rancid with an off-putting odor & flavor. Although not harmful, this off smell/flavor makes it impossible to enjoy the chips. The sell by date was October 22nd, and I purchased these September 7th so either they were prepared with old oil or stored for too long before shipping to stores.This has not been my previous experience with Silva's, and I hope it gets corrected. I miss my crispy, tasty chips.

Last time I will purchase Silva's flour tortillas. All stuck together and pretty much useless. I have yet to remove one from the pack without destroying it.

We normally _love_ Silva's chips, but my most recent bad had a weird "off" smell and taste, almost as though the oil was rancid. I called the company and they are aware of the problem and are trying to get the bad batches pulled from the shelves. So if you had a bad experience with them recently, maybe try again.

Silva's have always been my favorite tortilla chip, but the last two times that I have bought them they have had an off taste and texture feel. I hope that this gets resolved soon, as I use the unsalted chips to do presentations for my salsa.

I got a package of there tortillas at Sun Fresh South Kansas City and they were horrible! All of them stuck together. Had to throw away half of them because they would tear when trying to peel them apart and they were dry and flavoress. The use by date on them was 12/17/2020 and here is is mid October and they are unable!

I'm writing this just to balance out Colleen O's bad review. I'm not sure where she thought she was, but this wasn't it. This is a food processor - this establishment makes tortillas and other ingredients used in Mexican style cooking. There is no restaurant; no where to sit down and eat. There isn't even a retail place to shop in at this location - it is solely a production facility.
