I can't express how grateful I am to the owner John for his patience and amazing service. My daughter's car was taken to his shop as a recommendation. My daughter submitted an insurance claim and our insurance company was less than cooperative. John was very patient and after a long and frustrating stint of my daughter's car taking up space in his shop, he was always so cooperative, cordial, and honest! Thee work he did on my daughter's car was more than impressive considering how much damage was done to it. I'm not sure what would have happened if my daughter's car would've ended up at a different auto repair shop but I feel truly blessed that it ended up at Dotte Auto Repair. John is truly earned my respect because I am always leary about taking mine and my children's cars to auto shops but I promise you will never be disappointed in the service John and his team provides!

I recently took my car to dotte auto and couldn't be happier with the service I received. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and they took the time to explain everything that needed to be done. My car runs perfectly now, after they replaced my engine!! and they made the whole process smooth and hassle-free. They even helped me navigate my annoying warranty company. 🙄 I highly recommend dotte auto to anyone in need of fair and quality work

Got stuck a long way from home with car troubles. Our insurance selected J&K towing to get our car. The driver recommended that they take my car to Dotte Auto repair. Being 45 minutes from home I had no clue what repair shops were reliable or trustworthy so I was at the mercy of the two company.
I try not to think negatively but I was in a situation where I could have been taken advantage of and lied to. I trusted a company and a tow driver I did not know and I am glad I did.
J&K towing and Dotte Auto share the same building and are owned by two brothers. They fixed my car within 48 hours and got an excellent price. My issue was clutch related and I wouldn't have blinked an eye if they told me a new clutch was needed.
It ended up being something much less severe and I appreciate the honesty and integrity from both companies to get me taken care of quickly and efficiently. I likely won't need services in the Olathe area in the near future but if I do, I know where I will be taking my car... And if I need a tow.. I know where to go for that as well.

Im not from the area but I was lucky to be referred to Dotte's for some unexpected vehicle repairs by a complete stranger -thanks Big Chris. I showed up an hour after calling to see if Dotte Auto could provide the needed services and was met by John, one of the owners. As a female, I always feel taken advantage of in these situations however John and his crew treated me with absolute respect and concern, as he said I could have died in my vehicle with the repairs needed. I had to leave my vehicle overnight and was offered a ride home that I very much appreciated and enjoyed the company of Fred. ☆☆☆☆☆ service - and I will return, hopefully not soon!!! My family and I just recently moved to Olathe, and we were needing a lot of work done to our Ford Explorer. Since we’re new to the area, we didn’t know who to go to, or who was honest, had fair pricing and would do a great job. That’s usually something you find over time. We got amazingly lucky with Dotte auto repair.
John at Dotte’s did more than go out of his way to accommodate everything we threw at them. We were quoted at other places, and it was absolutely outrageous how much other shops were wanting for the repairs. While it was a lot of lengthy, difficult work that we expected to not be cheap, we didn’t expect what we were being told. It was excessive, and that’s being nice. We eventually found Dotte auto repair. They were able to quote us, going off of a previous quote, a much more reasonable price that was closer to what we estimated ourselves, and get us in the second we were ready. They did their own diagnostic, checked if we actually needed what the previous people said or not and kept us in the loop the entire time. They got everything we agreed upon finished quickly and succinctly with zero problems at all. Everything looked great, ran right and they did everything correctly. There were no hidden costs, or non-agreed upon fixes or troubles in the slightest. You could tell they knew what they were doing, and that they had a family of mechanics that have been there for a long time who cared. Instead of your typical mill mechanic shop with low employee retention.
I’m glad we found this place. It’s a huge relief to find a mechanic that you want to become “your” mechanic. It’s better than finding the right barber! I know I’ve been telling everyone I know that needs work about them, and I don’t do that kind of thing lightly.
Thanks again to John and his entire team for all of your integrity, kindness, fairness and hard work. All of that is in short supply these days. I will be brining all of the work I need done to you all whenever I need it. You all have earned yourselves a loyal customer!

I was very happy with Dotte. I brought my car in because my power steering and they fixed that at a good cost. But in addition, my fuel gauge was broken by a previous mechanic who couldn't figure it out and even the dealership couldn't solve the problem (and offered a $1400 "solution" that they couldn't even guarantee would fix it). Instead Dotte was able to figure out what the problem was from their diagnostic and since it was actually an easy fix, just did without any extra charge above the diagnostic fee.
It's very nice to have my fuel gauge back! I will definitely use Dotte again and would highly recommend them!

My husband and I had an excellent experience with John and his team. From the moment we called in with my car's AC issue, they were very responsive and accommodating. They managed to schedule an inspection and fix the problem on the very same day.
John was very nice and personable, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the shop. It was clear that he and his team care about their customers. He took the time to explain everything, including the pricing, clearly, and I never felt pressured to make a decision.
In addition to fixing the AC, the mechanic who worked on my car, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, went above and beyond by organizing and hiding some loose cables from my backup camera and charger adapter. This made my car dashboard look neater, which I really appreciated.
Getting my car back the same day was a huge relief, and the AC works perfectly now. I highly recommend John and his team at Dotte Auto Repair for their professionalism, friendliness, and great service!
