Just cancelled my account today tired of being stole from!!! Your supposed to be able to trust your bank with your money not have make sure your own bank isn’t taking it from you!!!! I wouldn’t recommend anyone bank here and if you do, get the app even thou it’s not correct either half the time…. Also the other day showed they charged me a $5 fee on my bank app. So I call them and they were like oh ya well we will put the $10 back in the account so even if they say or show you a certain amount it could be double so definitely watch!!!!

This is by far the worst bank I've ever used. When their system went down and they didn't manually enter your charges UNTIL A MONTH LATER AND YOURE OVERDRAFT BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEM WENT DOWN? AND GIVE NO NOTICE TO THEIR CUSTOMERS?! I had to call and ask why I was overdraft and all I got was some nonsensical excuse. I hope they feel good about this. Shameful, deceptive banking practices.

This bank is a joke. God forbid you ever go negative they treat you like dirt. I tried to make a payment but, because I’m currently unemployed they refused to take it and went ahead and sent it to collections. They’ll call you and get rude with you or they’ll email you and get rude. Jeri Hammerschmidt personally emailed me and is the one who informed me he wouldn’t take my payment. So if you like banking with clowns then bank here other wise go somewhere more professional.

Is it just the times or the world? They have had a lot of turn over in personnel. Is the job too hard or is everyone transferred out since Equity changed hands?? Or maybe firings or friends getting jobs. Oh yea, forgot this is Independence. Not what you know, its w.......!

I have banked with Equity since it was First Federal and have always had a good experience and treated with respect and never had any problems with anyone I've ever dealt with until today. The branch manager of Equity bank is everything BUT an asset to this business. She is disrespectful, terribly rude, and acts like she is above and everyone else is below, doesn't know basic customer service and definitely NOT professional. She makes everything as hard as possible when trying to get something resolved. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this one goes out to Jeri. I hope management above her sees this. Word of mouth is big in this day in age and she is the reason Equity Bank lost atleast two good customers of several years.

The home town bank experience is definitely gone. It takes forever to get anything done and the app doesn't update my account instantly. Make sure to bring 16 forms of ID even if you've had an account with them for years and they have it in their system.
