It's an older store and I'm pretty sure they have had problems keeping the doors open ever since the mall in which it's located has all but been abandoned. Despite the struggling surrounding businesses JCPENNEY has managed to maintain its foothold in the iconic mall of Hays America. The staff is always pleasant, not sure if they still have the salon inside anymore but I always have and I assume I will always enjoy their sales and deals on men's shoes.

I don't usually shop in Penney's. I go in to the Salon for haircuts. Beth in the Hays J.C Penney salon is phenomenal and so nice to talk and visit with.

Brick and mortar still standing and still good selection of clothing. Men's clothing is slightly limited but women's and kids pretty solid. I'll keep putting money in the store.

It's so sad to see how little there is in the store. I was looking for a dress for a wedding and there was none in my size! I was able to find a shirt for my husband though. But the choice is not much! And the prices are high!

I was very disappointed. Looked for some purses but all they have are black , brown no nice summer colors and light weight purses. Seems like they are always the same kind never no change. Clothes are just like always. No really nice clothes to pick from and so expensive
