They were the only vet who answered the phone for an emergency call at 2am while we were travelling. They did a good job unblocking my cat's urinary tract and answering all of our questions. The only negative was the procedure room setup with batwing doors - another owner's unleashed 80 lb labrador barrelled into the exam room right after a very delicate procedure. Secure doors for areas like that would be worthwhile

I took my cat Salem in to have his teeth checked out. Salem is usually very nervous going to new places. And can be somewhat skidding in those situations. But the vet did a fantastic job in calling him down. But most importantly he found out what was causing my cats mouth pain. Gave him a couple shots and sent us on our way. I could tell after a couple hours that the medication that was given to him is helping out a lot. I will definantly be bringing Salem back for any future visits.

Me and my wife were traveling cross-country with our dogs, when our dog started violently vomiting at midnight, we called big Creek veterinary service and they met us at the clinic and opened up to help with our dogs emergency. I can’t overstate how wonderful this veterinarian is in the service they provide. They made a horrible situation so much better thanks again

We have been using them for years, and Brandon has always taken great care of all our animals.

Our dog had difficulty breathing on a Friday night so I called Big Creek and Dr. Weidenhaft himself answered the phone, dropped everything he was doing, and met us at the clinic. She improved immediately and will now be a Big Creek regular patient!

I was living up in the nw before moving back home, Ellis County.
Brandon, Amy & staff always got us in.
My girl has Melonoma. In my worst times, Amy's been there.
This is the best vet I've been to since having animals. 1965.

I took my 5 year old dog here for surgery after she had an acl tear. The staff were great and they were very helpful during this stressful time. I’d recommend them!

While traveling through KS from PA to AZ, our golden retriever (Sadie) became ill. We were very concerned and tried relentlessly to locate a vet to see her. We had a stop planned in Hays, KS and called the Big Creek Vet office hoping for assistance. It was a Saturday afternoon and I expected an operator to answer the phone as the office was closed. I was surprised when Dr. Weidenhaft answered the phone himself! I told him what was happening with our Sadie and he said to call him when we arrived in town and he would meet us wherever we wanted. WOW! We met him at his office, he looked our girl over and prescribed some medications for her. Needless to say, he calmed our fears and took wonderful care of our baby! If I lived in the area, he would be our vet for both our girls! Thank you so much!

We took our dog we recently adopted from the shelter for a spay, heart worm test, and two vaccines. The staff was incredibly kind, respectful, helpful and reassuring. They broke down the information in a way that was easy to understand. Our dog was in great hands and the services were super affordable and done well. They kept our dog overnight following the spay for observation, which was greatly appreciated. I will always come here to have my dog well cared for at an affordable cost. Thank you Big Creek!

I really like this place and have taken pets here for years. Today Brandon helped with my pet rabbit's tooth and trimmed his claws. The whole staff was so kind and fun to be around while we were waiting on our fur baby to get done. My dog has been watched here several time while I am out of town also and they are so good at keeping her up on her vaccinations when she is there, if needed! Prices beat other vets and its good to know it's such a trustful place also!

Big Creek was more than willing to serve my small, semi-exotic pet (I raise fancy mice) which isn't something you can say for lots of vets, so I'm very grateful to have them in the area. The front desk staff and the vet (Brandon, I believe) were very kind and inquisitive during my visit, and service was quick and affordable.

Dr. Weidenhaft and his staff are so compassionate and committed to providing the best of care. We had a malnourishment cat show up at our house and went into the clinic at the last minute. Dr. Brandon and staff were so kind, taking the time to explain what needed to be done. I highly recommend taking your animals here as they will certainly get the best of care!

Took our horse in to be gelded, couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Brandon, and the crew at Big Creek will be our go to vet from here on. Very friendly, professional, and thorough! Highly recommended

A friendly place but when I got Tezzeret's (a cat and my A number one) ear drained he had to have surgery and stitches. I was told they would desolve in 9 days to two weeks. After the second week I was told (over the phone since I moved to KC) to wait another week knowing they were not going to devolve just by looking at them and in the end I ended up taking them out myself. Great courteous staff but they weren't able to give me a straight forward answer proving that the staff is uneducated in vrtranairy services. My Boy means the world to me so this is unacceptable for a practice to not have well trained personnel to ensure our fur babies well being. Also as a result my boy has a limp ear due to this negligence. I should have known better than not to go to my go to vet but I wanted to get this done before my move to KC. Big Creek Vetranay let me down and I will not be recommending them at any time.
