First Kansas Bank provides both good and bad experiences. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and fantastic. Services like car loans can go really well, and fraud issues are resolved quickly, with cards replaced and money returned within a day. However, there are significant fees, including a monthly charge for checking and a savings account fee with no way to get around it. There is also a noted lack of after-hours support, which can cause problems if a transaction is blocked. Some customers recommend considering other banks that offer free accounts with higher APYs.
Caught a fraudulent charge on our account through my card before major purchases were made. Within the day, I had our card replaced and in hand as well as our money back in our account. What I thought would be a nightmare was an hour to remedy. Thank you!
