“I have been a devout fan of Retro Vixen on their social media pages for years and wanted to visit in person for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. I attended their 5th anniversary birthday party, so the shop was gussied up with balloons and cupcakes (they were delicious.) There is something for all body shapes and sizes here, which is SO impressive and a must for 2023. I was given a space to try on clothes. The staff helped me pick out the perfect accessories (a belt with a beautiful bow) and a stunning green cardigan. They also have a punch card, so for every $25 you spend you get one step closer to another punch on your card (full punch card = discount.) Thank you so much!”

The process of taking them out of the box and bag itself made me feel excited to wear them.I would not recommend immediately throwing them on and doing a full day's work. Wear them them a couple hours here and there in the house to break them in. After the first full day at work I thought twice about putting them back on the next day, but by the third day they were feeling good.Tyler was very helpful. He had me size in a similar shoe (different color) and mailed the color I wanted. I ordered on Saturday and it arrived on Tuesday.”

“I had an issue with my boot leather tearing on the tongue of both boots. The staff took care of getting me replacement pair and took new measurements so I could buy the correct inserts. I have been buying the same model Red Wing boot for over 20 years and this is the first time I ever had an issue. I love the boots and love the service I get from my local store. I am definitely a for life customer. I have probably had at least 12 -15 pairs of these boots. I love that they are made in the USA and my money goes to a good company that makes good products and isn't in a race to the bottom like almost all other shoe/boot manufacturers.”

“After having been to DelBrenna in Cortona 14 years ago, this was a MUST DO for me when my husband and I traveled through KC during the holidays, I had purchased a ring from the Cortona store and it needed a small repair. Fortunately, for us, we were able to meet Megan and Sebastian and learned that Sebastians father had made it! So special! We have so many wonderful Cortona memories, I was compelled to purchase a Cortona pendant and a beautiful signature chain. Merry Christmas to ME! I love it! Meeting Megan and Sebastian was the highlight though, we shared a story of us passing through their store 14 years ago and Megan helping us with finding Bramasole ...I still had the map she drew us! When she saw it she was so surprised! Anyway - we have made new friends and hope to meet again in Cortona! “I want to thank the folks at New Balance for setting me up with some great shoes!I saw Walt Closer first (unfortunately, he's since retired), who was extremely thorough and measured my feet to determine my current shoe size, which is 8.5. (As we age, our feet may change in size due to flattening of the arches.) Walt said that my forefoot was wide but my rearfoot was normal to narrow. He suggested a normal width of shoe but I asked to try a wide width. I liked the pair I tried on in the store, and as I was walking around they were comfortable.When I got home and started using them, I discovered that my heel was slipping up and down (Note to self: Listen to the shoe salesman! He knows what he's talking about!). Since I'd worn them several times, I needed to figure out some kind of modification. They were still comfortable, aside from the heel slippage, and I didn't want to give them up.I went back to the New Balance store and talked with Ayden. Hurray!! There is such a thing as a tongue pad, which adheres to the underside of the tongue of the shoe, keeping the midfoot secure and preventing the rearfoot from rising up out of the shoe. We tried them on my shoes, and they worked perfectly!! Now I'm back to wearing my New Balance shoes and love them. Thank you to Ayden for his knowledge and ability to come up with a modification! And thank you to Walt for his expertise in fitting shoes! The New Balance team is GREAT!”

“If I could leave 3.5 stars, I would.. but I'll round up. The young man that helped me did a great job finding the right shoe. He was maybe a little green still, and a bit awkward in his small talk, but very friendly.The stars come off for the checkout experience.. the moment they swiveled the iPad around and asked for a TIP for selling me a pair of $145 shoes I was shocked! I hate, hate, hate being put on the spot so I hit the 10% button and ended up paying nearly an extra $15 for my new shoes. Of course he said, oh this isn't necessary, just hit whatever you want there... But then they stare at you and they know and you know.. and it just ruined the whole experience for me.”
