I went to Eudora Animal Hospital for a second opinion for my cat, Hamilton. My current vet recommended full mouth extractions due to periodontitis. I wanted realistic options. They took great of us and gave us realistic expectations.

Quick, helpful, and BUSY. Each vet definitely has their own style, but I've always appreciated the to the point service and pricing without sacrificing care.

We’ve used Eudora animal hospital for many years and have always been pleased, but when we went in tonight with our senior schnoodle who was struggling to breathe, we were shocked at the lack of compassion from the vet on duty. We knew he was struggling and were aware it didn’t look good; after confirming it was time to let him pass, my partner told the vet there was someone who’d like to say goodbye (I was racing home and less than 20 minutes away) and he was told “well you better hurry cause we close in 1 minute” He literally looked at our dog for less than a minute, proceeded to charge us for a full exam, and locked the door on his way out the door with our beloved dog that died just moments after getting back home. I am shocked we were treated this way, disappointed is an understatement.

I would not nor will I every in this lifetime recommend this veterinarian hospital to anyone in the area or passing through. This place is awful along with the staff. Everyone is rude and disrespectful. And the doctors holy crap don't get me started so they took my dog in the back came back did a bunch of shot on her gave me a bill and left didn't tell me anything else and I am stuck with a $300+ plus and standing there like what the hell just happened when I literally went in for her yearly check up and nothing was even due.
A friend of mine recently within the last two weeks brought their dog in for an allergic reaction the doctor gave him a shot which happen to be a shot that the dog was allergic to and if he would have looked at his charts like they are suppose to this dog would still be alive today.
I have many and I do mean many stories about this place and the mis-diagnostics they have given pet owners its an outrage. This place shouldn't even be running I would never take my dog their for any kind of care, they don't care of about you or your dog.
BEWARE OF THIS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE

Got my kitten vaccinated and the whole 9 yards of treatment for worms, ear mites and conjunctivitis for cheap. It was quick, and they were all really sweet to us and the baby. I live in Lawrence but it’s worth the drive. I don’t have any pictures of the vet office but here’s a happy baby boy.

We have tried a few vet clinics since we moved here to Lawrence. We went to Eudora Animal Hospital today- with our 6 cats and they were wonderful. Very good basic care. No pressure to do unnecessary testing or buying their products. Everybody from the front door, to the vet care, to checking out before leaving was very nice and very helpful.

My family has a kitty who has dealing who's been dealing with what turned out to be a large painful abscess for a few days. So, based on lots of great reviews, I decided to bring him to Eudora Animal Hospital. All of the desk staff and vet techs I had contact with were very kind, compassionate, and informative. However, my experience with the DVM, who introduced himself as George, was very bad. I was pretty shocked. The more I think back on it the more upsetting it is. He was curt, hurried, and, condescending, and dismissive. He did introduce himself and shake my hand quickly, but immediately after it was evident that he was in a nasty mood or something. He was very rough with our cat who was very scared and in a lot of pain. It was as if he made a point to be abrasive in his communication and rough with the cat. The initial encounter / examination lasted maybe 60 seconds at most. He quickly thrust his hand into the carrier, grabbed a fistful of flesh, dragged the cat out, pressed hard and abruptly into the large inflamed painful area, and then when the kitty reacted to the pain, he shoved the cat back into the carrier and told us it was an abscess. To be clear, the cat is docile and compliant - he is timid and gentle. That was the case during this ordeal as well. I didn't know what to do so I just stood there bewildered and watched. He took the cat, did whatever he did in the back with him, and very shortly thereafter met us in the waiting room. He sped through a cursory brief of what had been done and, when I asked if the kitty would need continued pain management, he hurriedly asserted "He's fine." Then immediately turned and briskly walked away without even looking at me. The gentleman behind the desk, Charles (I think), who took our payment overheard and took some time to better explain things. He seemed disappointed by how the DVM conducted himself. Maybe George had a rough morning. That's not my problem and it's not my cat's problem. I am entirely disappointed and I'm angry. I should have taken my kitty to Lawrence Animal Hospital or anywhere else. Please do think twice before letting George "care" for your beloved animals. If someone from EAH would like to contact me regarding this review they can feel free. I'd be happy to come up and chat about it with Georges An explanation and apology would be appreciated. Doing better in the future is a must though.

Our former vet of 22 years was unable to see us in an urgent situation, however Eudora animal hospital from the front desk staff to Dr. Kelso were nothing short of amazing. They were efficient, helpful, great at explaining everything, and we will now be clients for life. Thank you, Eudora Animal Hospital!

I left Eudora animal hospital crying harder than I think I've ever cried in my life. I will never come back to this clinic and I will never recommend it to anyone.
On April 20th, 2024 I brought my 14 year old dog in for an appointment to simply have her ears checked. She had some vestibular issues and was suffering with a tilt that caused her to be off balance.
When I arrived for my appointment it was packed. It took maybe 20-30 minutes until we saw a doctor. The staff was rushing around obviously overbooked and stressed. I should have just left but I didn't.
Once we got a room and the doctor and assistant came in things just went bad.
The assistant was so forceful with my dog for no reason. She pushed her onto the table so hard that her legs went out to the side. My dog was breathing very heavily and was scared the second that the lady grabbed her. I was scared for my dog and I was shaking with anxiety. I should have just grabbed her and left but I was in shock and speechless. I just froze. My dog wasn't being difficult. She was just panting and stiff-legged so she could keep her balance.
After they checked her ears and heart the doctor told the assistant to weigh my dog. She took her right behind the room wall where a small weigh table was. What I heard made me so upset. This assistant was undoubtedly mishandling my dog. I heard slamming and my dogs feet going all over. This lasted a few minutes. I interrupted the doctor twice to check on her. He was talking to me about end of life care while I was hearing my dog, my best friend, being slammed around just a wall away. I was crying at this point and just wanted my dog back. The assistant finally comes back in with her and literally tossed her at me. She was so mad and said to the vet "she weighs like 19 pounds maybe I don't know" and stormed off.
I did get a call later that day from the Doctor with an apology.
I hope that the vet assistant who mishandled my dog is no longer working for Eudora animal hospital. I don't think she should be working around animals at all from what I saw and experienced that day.
