“I wouldn't necessarily call myself a dollar general connoisseur but I would say that I've visited A lot of them during my lifetime and the majority of my experience with them hasn't been very good. Some places are hit and miss, where the prices may be good but you might not find what you want. Or you may find what you want but the price is a little high. Or you may find what you want and the price is great but you have a hard time navigating the store because of all of the debris and cluttered isles in the store. But all of that changed with this location. This location is right off of highway 75 on the entrance into Burlington. The signage is huge and visible to see. Parking is extremely ample and even the parking lot is clean. I found no debris and trash in the lot, which is a rarity nowadays. The minute I walked in I was immediately impressed baskets were secured in the front of the store neatly and the first thing my eyes laid upon was the produce. They had actual fresh produce. Onions, apples, whole potatoes , cauliflower, Lettuce, carrots you name it they had it and in all of my travels to many different dollar general stores I've never seen one that had fresh produce. They have full freezer section that went from one end of the store all the way to the back which is contrary to other Dollar General's because usually there's only two freezers and you were only fine milk, juice and little frozen treats and that was it. This store had freezers all the way to the back of the store. Their isles were extremely clean and fully stocked. You didn't have to question where anything was it was clear, plentiful and in view. The best of all was the greeting and the friendliness of the staff. I was greeted the minute I stepped inside with a wonderful hello and a beautiful smiling face from the female that worked there. When I told her I was impressed with the store she even encouraged me to send them an eval online because they don't get enough notification about people being impressed I told her I would definitely do that. I'm going back to see if I can get some pictures due to the fact that my phone was left in the car when I came in. If you're ever going through Burlington Kansas and you need a few things do stop in to their local Dollar General. I promise you you will be impressed”
