I hate this establishment with every fiber of my being and I warn EVERYONE I come across to not use H&R Block because they are a heartless big corporation who has no remorse for the financial burden they toss to their struggling customers. I came to HR block a couple years back for help with a form I couldn’t figure out how to file myself. Paid the $300 to get everything squared away. Perfect. Until about a year later I get a letter from the state saying I owed them $250 for claiming a tax credit I didn’t qualify for. I took the letter into the office and had some specialists take a look, they looked at my previous year tax return and all the ladies in the office (about 4) laughed about how “we need to stop letting William do these”. What?? If you’ve had problems with him before why would he be allowed to do my taxes?? The specialists couldn’t even figure out what he had done wrong so I called the state. I told WILLIAM, and as was CLEARLY STATED on my W2 that I was a PRESCHOOL teacher. He put me down for a credit only K-12 teachers qualify for. And since I didn’t pay them their extra money for “peace of mind” they refuse to help me with the payment I now owe due to their error. I assumed that would cover things like little clerical or mathematical errors - NOT utter incompetence from the person filing. So, as a now full time college student who doesn’t work a 9-5 anymore, I couldn’t pay Kansas their money back. I still can’t. Today I had a sheriff show up to my door telling me I need to pay or I’ll be arrested. I’ve worked so hard to get through college with no debt, but now I will go into debt for the first time in my life because of HR Block’s mistake - but I guess I’ll take debt over jail at 22 years old. This place is a joke and the workers are obviously not properly trained nor did they act professionally. I was truly shocked by the laughter at the mistake. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

Worst experience ever. Tried contacting because my tax pro called me stating my taxes were done which doesn’t make sense because I still had another w2 that I had not given them yet. Person who answered said my tax pro wasn’t available to call me till Wednesday night (currently Monday morning). In my opinion it seems ridiculous to have to wait 3 days to talk to someone that would only take 5 minute over an important matter such as taxes. I tried asking if there were any other times and the lady said no. I then asked if there someone else I could talk to and she then of course said no. The lady told me I was being rude and that I just didn’t like the answer she was giving me. I’m unsure why this situation was handled like this. It would’ve be resolved if she would’ve worked on a time that would work for both of us. This lady was being very passive aggressive when all I was trying to do was trying to do was ask a question. Save your time. This place is a joke.

First time giving this office a shot. Definitely won’t be back. Came in for my appointment and was told they didn’t have anybody available so I could just drop off my forms and they would “get to it when they could” and call me to finalize in a day or two. I called back 5 days later and after waiting on hold for almost 10 minutes, was told they just needed me to come in for a 15-20 minute appointment to finalize everything. My appointment was 10:30 and it’s now 10:45 and I’m still sitting in the waiting area listening to their employee complain about how bad H&R Block is to another client. So unprofessional in every way!
