Catholic Care Center is the epitome of Senior and Memory Care. Staff was amazing with my Mom in their Memory Care Unit, we could not ask for better care for her. My Dad is in Assisted Living and also has premium staff looking out for him. Thank you CCC and Luke Sponsel (Admin) for your caring for my Dad, our whole family appreciates you all! ❤️

CCC has changed a lot in the past few years. There are growing pains because of the construction, limited beds due to construction and having staffing issues, like every other facility in the country, however the communtiy mindset of it being a ministry is invaluable. Everything that is changing is truly for the best of the residents.

If I was able to give lower than 1 star I would. My mom had a stroke at the end of January. After her hospital stays she was very comfortable at Via Christi rehab on 13th & Rock. They are amazing there. However, they aren’t a long term facility. My mom was on special medication and needed to be for the next two months. So she was transferred to this place. Of course they received a list of all the medications she needs to be on and they accepted my mom knowing what she needed. Once my mom got there and settled in. I received a phone call from a person named Rachel telling me that my mom can’t stay there as they don’t carry the medication she needs. However Rachel AND Jennifer Sanders did tell me the only option was to take my mom to an emergency room but can’t guarantee she’d be in a room instead, my mom may be in the waiting room or hallway.*UPDATE* RACHEL promised me that a hospital had “plenty” of beds for her. On our way to that hospital they changed their mind and had the ambulance drop my mom off at St. Francis ER. We waiting in that ER from 5:30pm until 10:30 pm until she was seen. My mother a recent stroke patient who needs to be on antibiotics was dropped off in the emergency room at the busiest in Wichita. The nurses & paramedics who dropped my mom off were shocked and disgusted that Catholic “cares” did this to my mom.

Very poor front reception service, just trying to deliver flowers to a resident and the lady says "I don't know that name. Go somewhere else" no attempt to check or help at all

I worked here for almost a year as a CNA. I loved it at first but very quickly realized that the residents were not properly care for in AL. Director of nursing openly mocked a resident with Parkinson's to his face in front of me. I was disgusted. Will always schedule you alone and then not pay you for the extra work. 30+ residents to one aide. Med aides rarely step off Med cart to help. They need a new DON more than anything. Someone who actually has a heart for the residents and doesnt just care about money. TERRIBLE NURSE! I loved my residents and it destroyed my heart to leave. I hope CCC can take actions to prevent things like this from happening. I would never recommend this place to my Grandparents

My brother has since past away but I wanted to leave a review from his remarks to me during his stay there. He received a 20 day Medicare rehab from this establishment. I personally never investigated the premises however I did visit with him on the cell phone 3 or 4 times a day while he was there. When I would ask, “How’s it going?” his remarks to me were that the food was predominately better than most places of its purpose. The physical therapist actually worked you hard for your success of getting stronger in comparison to other places that were a joke, and the cleaning staff that came into his room did immaculate work. I, while tending to his affairs, personally had some billing issues but the financial department listened to my concerns and we got it all figured out and tended to in a VERY professional manner. He would have liked to stay there permanently but they were remodeling and didn’t have a room available.

We had an ok (not good, just ok) experience until our loved one was moved to the Meadows. The only positives there were the social worker, a few aides (who were employees not agency workers) and the ceremony when our loved one passed as they took him out of the facility. His care declined with the move from memory care to The Meadows. Our suggestion, until Covid is not an issue, do NOT put your loved one at this facility. We filed grievances (which were never substantiated by KDAS), but were also told by an aide there was a different code of conduct when the investigator entered the facility (many texts would fly to nurses and aides about what to do and say). We have had other loved ones in the AL area in the past and had a great experience. Something has drastically changed with the management of the facility. A huge disappointment for our family.

Due to pure negligence, my grandmother has fallen, gotten pneumonia 3 times, had COVID, which she could only have received from the staff since obviously in person visits with family members are restricted and recently had to have surgery because her feeding tube got infected, which literally only happens due to lack of proper care. I can’t tell if your staff is poorly trained or you just don’t give a f***. Don’t take your loved ones here.

As we're still in quarantine my family and I could not celebrate my Mom's 89th birthday with her. The staff/nurses at Catholic Care went above and beyond to celebrate her and share the day with us as best they could. Special shout out to Debra in Memory Care. Thanks for all the pictures & videos & visit chats!

My father was in Memory care. Before Covid19, my mother and I went every weekend to see my father. He was very healthy other than his mind. He roamed constantly. Because they couldn't keep up with him, they wanted him out. The rest of the patients look like Zombies. They lost alot of my father's things, and the care wasn't up to standards. If you love your parents, don't put them here! They are only after your money

This place was horrible to work. They put you on heavy halls as a new CNA and do not designate anyone to help you with lifts which require 2 people. No one goes out of their way to help. Horrible team like environment. They peg the staff against each other and have 0 professionalism. Put you in fear of doing your job instead of giving positive feed back to make you want to do better. The resident care is horrible because everyone hates their job here. Stop overworking your staff or allowing overtime and care more about your nurses. Nurses deserve better and the CNA's and CMA's. "Catholic" my a**!

The employees remind me of robots. Some are professional, some are nice. A few are cranky and a few you couldn't understand a word out of their mouth.
